Chapter 17

"You two are cute together." I gushed.  Her face got red quickly "Aw you're blushing!" I smiled as I took a drink of my tea.  

"Shush your face." She muttered but still laughing.

I heard foot steps behind me "Mind telling me why you left me to go sleep with Stefan?" Damon asked in my ear, loud enough for Aurora to hear.  He put his hands on the back of his neck.

"Damon don't start this.  Ever since Aurora got the Klaus blood drained out of her me and her haven't talked a lot, now we finally are.  Just please don't start this right now." I muttered.

Aurora coughed lightly then said "I can leave if you want me to..." She said, looking at the both of us.

"Please do." "No you can stay." Damon and I both said.  

"She's leaving." Damon growled at her.

"Damon I swear if you hurt her..." I growled, not finishing my sentence.

"I won't hurt her if she leaves." he growled louder than me.

"Damon, I can bite you if I have to.  And It won't be pretty." I threat, still growling.  

"But you won't..." he then got close to my ear and lowered his voice "I'm too damn sexy." 

Stefan walked down the stairs and looked at Damon and Aurora.  "Morning Damon, Aurora." Then he looked at me and smiled widely.  "Good-morning, Maya." 

Damon looked pissed.  "Maya, come with me - now." He growled at me.

"What makes you in charge of me?" I threat.

"I will kill her if I have to." he smiled an evil smile but still said flatly.  I groaned and got up then followed him into the living room.  I listened in on Stefan and Auroras conversation.

"What was that about?" Stefan asked 

"Supposedly..." Aurora said then got cut off by my hearing with running water.  

I growled under my breath, "Assholes." 

"I think anyways..." Aurora said after the water got turned off.

"Yeah, she did sleep with me but nothing happened." Stefan said softly but quietly.  "I didn't know it would be that big of a deal though." I heard him walk over to the table next to Aurora and sit down.  I'm guessing he was shaking his head.  Just seems like something Stefan would do.

"I should have known it was going to be like this." He said, sighing.

"Like what?" Aurora asked, she is pushing it. 

"Damon and I used to be in love with a girl named Kathryn, it drove us apart.  Then we both fell in love with Elena, drove us apart again.  I'm afraid it may happen with Maya too." Stefan stopped then changed the subject.  "How did you sleep?"

"Good" She said.

I focused back on Damon when he yelled my name.  

"MAYA are you even listening?" He growled.

"Totally... not." I smirked at him, sassing. 

"You're ridiculous." He frowned.

"So aren't you, so I wouldn't be talking." I growled softly.

"Maya, why did you leave last night when I told you I loved you?" He asked

"Because I'm not jumping right into a relationship after the divorce is final, Damon." I sighed

His eyes softened slightly, "Maya..." 

"Damon, I just can't." Tears were seconds away from hitting the surface, so I walked away.  

I walked into the kitchen with Damon on my heels.  He and Stefan were death glaring each other like mad.  

"Can you two stop already?" I growled under my breath and dragged Aurora outside.  

"Look now their fighting over you." She smiled

"Because I'm that fabulous." I ran back inside

"Hey!  You stole that from me!" She laughed, following me.
