Stefan and I got back home safely without any interference from Klaus.  I was honestly worried - Klaus had a point.  Elena could come back at any moment of time and Stefan or Damon could go crawling back to her.

"Everything okay?" Stefan asked as he opened the door for me.

"Sure sure." I muttered under my breath.  I walked into the kitchen to see Aurora making lunch.

"Hey.  How'd it go?" She asked, looking at me with a knife in her hand.

I eyed the knife until she put it down.  "Josh had to go help another client.  Seemed important.  We didn't get the papers signed though..."

Aurora stared at me for a long moment, then I felt the tears threat to hit the surface.  I looked behind me and Stefan was already gone.  I ran to the sink and turned on the water.

"Aurora, I have no idea what to do.  Klaus made a point today... Elena could come back at any given moment and take Stefan or Damon from me." I said softly even with the water on.

"Maya..." She walked over to me and hugged me as I cried softly into her shoulder.

"I just don't know what to do." I muttered

"I say do the divorce, and if the universe really did put you and Klaus together it will bring you back to him."

"I tried telling him that, but you should have seen his face.  It had hurt written all over it..." I said, I felt myself breaking.

"Maya, He will get over it.  He has been in so many relationships over the centuries I bet you." She muttered as she pulled away from me.

I whipped the tears away quickly "But was he ever married?"

"I doubt it.  Who would want to marry that?  No offence." She smirked slightly.

"None taken." I frowned.

"Well, that's what I would do, Maya.  But it it up to you... just my idea seems to be the easiest way out of this.  That way you can date anyone you please and marry whoever you please." She said, explaining it.

"Thanks, Aurora.  God you're a true friend.  What the hell would I do without you here?" I chuckled once

"Be dead." She said with a serious face then laughed.

"You're probably right, lets be honest." I hugged her again and helped her make lunch.

I heard the water turn back off, knowing that was the end of their conversation.  I was confused of what Maya would do.  She could go back to Klaus, she can come to me, she can go to Damon... I just hope its me.

Damon stood in the doorway, I didn't notice him until he cleared his throat.

"Brother." I said.

"Stefan." Damon said as he walked towards my desk where I sat.

"What do you need?" I asked, shaking my head in disbelief.

"How did the divorce thing go?" He asked intensely, leaning against the desk.

"They didn't get signed yet." I muttered.

"How the hell did they not get signed?" Damon asked, roaring with anger but still keeping his voice low.  "If I was there I would have made her sign them."

"I am not forcing her to do anything.  She is free to do what she wants, Damon." I leaned back into my chair, crossing my arms across my chest.

"Sometimes people need a push to do things, Stefan." He didn't look at me, but his posture looked like he was ready to strangle me.

"You know, Maybe I haven't made my point..." I didn't finish my sentence.

"Point of what?" Damon asked, finally looking at me.  I was right, even his face looked like he was about to strangle me.

"She won't choose you.  If she can't even sleep in your bed what does that show you?" I smirked, I enjoyed challenging my brother.

"Who went to the bar with her?" He challenged me back, his eyes like darts.

"Who went to her lawyer with her?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I will win the girl, Stefan.  This time I will." Damon said flatly then left the room.

"Not if I get her first..." I muttered under my breath.

Klaus' POV

I growled lowly as I ran through the woods.  Maya would be mine, she was my wife after all... She can't just end things as easily as that.  Impossible.  She married me, there is a part in her that still loves me...
