Part Two:

One:

Jeanette ran into the Billiards room in a haste. Her blonde hair rocked as she slowed to a stop on the hardwood. She looked up at the people in the room with wide eyes, full of concern. "Adin's hurt!" She said. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked up at Jeanette. The music still playing but no one continued to dance. From behind the pool table, Michael relaxed his stick and looked at Jeanette in disbelief with a smile. "No he's not. It's a sick prank-" "No!" Jeanette stamped her foot. "He's bleeding from the side! What are you waiting for?" She yelled at Michael. Without waiting for anyone, Jeanette ran back into the hallway. She didn't even have time to feel sad or scared; all she could feel was anxiety. Blinking, her tears ran down her face as she ran. She sniffled once but tried not to let her feelings get in the way of Adin. She knew if there was any chance of saving Adin, his time was running out fast. All of these thoughts faded as she turned the corner to the foyer. The floor felt like it was covered in butter. She grabbed a wall and pushed off of it. She took a long stride in front of the stairs and looked at the crime scene. She stopped and to take in the scene - everything from the fog machine, soda, mini-disco ball were all still there. Even the blood that had seeped to the floor remained. One thing was missing - Adin. "What?" She questioned quietly. Michael and Randy came up, behind her and took in the sight for themselves. "See." Michael said, pointing at the floor. "It's a joke." He turned to Jeanette. "That's sick, Jeanette." Michael said, pointing to the blood. "Hey." Randy said, putting his small hand between Jeanette and Michael. "Take it easy. That blood looks real-" "That's what she wants you to think." Michael said to Randy, removing his hand away from himself. "That's what she wants you to think-" "Shut up!" Jeanette interrupted. She looked to Randy with tears and sympathy. "You have to believe me, I saw Adin on the floor - blood, his eyes, the whole deal. He was there a minute ago, I-" "I believe you." Randy said looking in Jeanette's eyes. "Believe what?" Carmen said from behind the three. Jeanette saw Carmen, Wyatt, and Logan standing at the corner of the intersecting halls. "What happened-" Logan said, moving toward Michael and Jeanette. "Stand back, nerdy." Michael said, blocking the path to Adin's blood with his hand. "Move." Logan said, pushing on Michael's arm. "Don't think so." Michael teased. "Stop harassing her, Michael." Carmen said. Michael turned his head to Carmen. "You are still buying this? I mean look at Jeanette." Michael gestured to her. Carmen saw Jeanette's tears and approached her. Jeanette started to cry; she raised a hand to her face and began to weep. "What happened-" She tried. "She's faking." Michael interrupted. "Excuse me." Carmen said to Michael, turning to him. "My friend is upset. Have some sense. That's if you have any inside that brick wall that you call your heart." "Don't fall for it. She's just trying to pull a joke on us-" "Everyone stop." Wyatt interrupted everyone. Randy, Michael, Carmen, and Logan turned to him. He walked forward and addressed them. "Prank or not, we should round up everyone and see if anyone saw him get up and leave." "I agree." Carmen said. "Let's do it." Carmen looked at Jeanette, still sobbing. "Come back to the Billiards room and sit down." She said in a soft voice. Jeanette nodded. Carmen took Jeanette by the bicep and led her back to the Billiards room. "Hey, wasn't I playing with Brock?" Michael asked, looking to Randy. "I think. Where is he?" Randy replied. He looked into the lounge room and shook his head. "Let's go check our room." Michael said. He left the foyer and proceeded down the hallway. Instead of turning to the Billiards room, he continued down the hall. Once he past the Billiards hall, he noticed the loud music had stopped playing. He looked up and on the left, a brown wooden stood. That was Sara and Andie's room. He decided to be a bit nosy and knock on their door. Randy walked up behind him. Michael knocks echoed into the empty room. "Anyone home?" Michael called inside. He reached for the door knob. "What are you doing?" Randy said, stopping Michael. "They could be changing or doing... other stuff." "I don't care." Michael replied. He opened the door and peeked inside. Emptiness and darkness mocked him from the inside. He sighed and shut the door. "No one." Michael said to Randy. He continued onto his own room whom he shared with Randy, Brock, and Taylor. Michael let himself right in. When he first moved in, he thought the room was quite large in itself - he could tell from moving in earlier the room was not intended to be a bedroom. But he didn't really mind - it gave him more space to move about and do what he wished. He stopped thinking and examined the bunk beds for Taylor or Brock. "Are you sure both Taylor and Brock were both in the Billiards room?" Randy asked Michael. Michael turned back to Randy. "I think Brock was..." Michael paused and grabbed his head. "Sorry, I'm a little fuzzy right now." "It's because you're drunk. You should find a nice place to sit and relax." Randy replied. "I'm fine." Michael said, walking out of the room. Randy followed and closed the door. Down the hall, the foyer stood empty. Michael crossed the intersection between the Billiards room and the hallway and peered down. He saw Logan standing, talking to someone. "Hey nerdy." Michael called to Logan. Logan stopped speaking and rolled her eyes. "What?" She said in an annoyed tone. "Are Taylor and Brock down there?" He asked. Randy stood next to Michael. "No." Logan replied. "I haven't seen them since I walked into the party at 6:00." Randy looked to Michael. "Are they hiding from us? That's not like them." Randy said. "I'll say." Michael replied. He walked to the base of the stairs and called upstairs. "Taylor, Brock, are you up there?" He waited momentarily. A shadow slid across a wall by the banister. He expected one of the two to come and look over the banister - instead he got JT, holding black gloves. JT looked down at Michael and gasped. He slid the gloves into his back pocket. "What are those?" Michael asked, unknowing of the items JT were holding. "It's..." He tried. "It's what?" Michael grew impatient. Suddenly, the front door swung open. There stood Wyatt, with Emma, Sara, and Andie. "Oh God." Sara said, looking at the smeared blood. "Walk around it." Randy instructed Sara. The four walked around the blood stain and stood in front of the library doors. Logan, Carmen, and Jeanette came also to the foyer. Jeanette still held her red face and leaned on Carmen's shoulder. "Is everyone here?" Wyatt asked, looking around at his friend's faces. "No." Michael said. "We're missing Taylor and Brock." "Do you have any idea where they went?" Logan inquired. "No-" A bang on the side of the cabin scared Michael. "God." Someone said. "What was that?" Another said. "Who's out there?" Michael stared into a window to the right of the front door. The room turned suddenly silent. The air felt tense. Michael could feel everyone looking to the same window too, leaning their heads forward to get a better look at who was outside. All was quiet. No one breathed, no one spoke. Suddenly, many gasped at the sight at the window. They saw the face that they had dreaded to see.
