Three:
"Okay, I'm still confused. Why do you think it's JT again?" Andie said to Sara after the meeting. They stood outside their bedroom. Sara was at the door with Andie close behind. No one was near. Sara opened her bedroom door and looked inside. "Well, it's just a theory." Sara said. She stepped inside her room and let the door open wide. "Well, can you explain that theory again?" Andie stepped inside the white room. His tone seemed impatient. "Okay, I'll tell you again;" Sara began. "You remember how he's a car mechanic, right?" She turned back to Andie. Andie closed the door behind him. "Yeah." Andie replied. "Wyatt said that they had a harness attached to the roof. And it was apparently drilled into the roof, so..." Sara looked at Andie. "Well, Taylor isn't exactly the most accredited to power tools. And Brock, well he can't put staples in a stapler without jamming the thing." Sara chuckled. "Does that make more sense?" She asked. "Yes." Andie nodded. There was a momentary silence. "Thanks for making that less confusing-" Andie was interrupted by a knock at the door. He turned around to the door and studied it. He glanced back at Sara. She nodded to Andie. He looked to the doorknob and opened it. Outside stood Emma. "Hi." Andie greeted her. "Can I come in? I feel like we need to discuss something." She said. "Yes." Andie stepped aside and let her come in. Andie closed the door behind Emma. "Are you okay?" Sara asked. Emma had a look of guilt on her face. "Please don't act like you don't know." Emma looked up and said bitterly to Sara. "Wait, what do I know-" Sara tried. "That night. The bonfire." Emma said. "What about the fire-" "You guys know what we did." Emma looked down in shame. "Are you taking about the secret-" Andie attempted. "Don't say it out loud." Emma cut Andie off. Andie sighed. "Emma, look at me." Sara said. Emma looked up with a melancholy face. "Your secret is safe with us. Besides, we know you didn't do it, right?" Emma nodded. "Your right. I just don't want to guys to blindside me." Emma said. "I promise." Sara assured. She looked around Emma and at Andie, who stood by the door still. "We promise." Emma smiled. "Thanks you guys." Emma looked to them both. "I was so worried." "Well, no more worrying!" Andie said cheerfully. Emma smiled. "I appreciate it." She said. They all stood there for a moment. "Well, sorry for interrupting. I'll get out of your way." Emma said. She began to talk toward the door. She about left the room when Sara stopped her. "Wait!" Emma turned back. "Are you good friends with JT?" "Yeah, sort of." Emma replied. "Have you talked to him recently?" Sara inquired. "No." Emma said. "In fact, it seems like he's avoiding me. Why do you ask?" "Oh, no reason." Sara lied. Emma stood there for a second, inspecting Sara. "You think it's him?" She asked quietly. "No." Sara replied quickly. Emma let another silence fall between them. "Are you sure?" She asked. "Yes." Sara nodded. "Don't worry." Emma sighed. "Okay. See you later." She walked down the hall to the foyer, out of sight. Andie looked out in the hall and watched her disappear around a corner. He put his body back in his room and shut the door. "What was that?" Andie said, turning back to his girlfriend. "What do you think? It was a lie. A dirty, dirty lie." Sara replied, ashamed. "I feel horrible." "Yeah, I do too." Andie replied. "What do we do?" Sara paused for a moment. She put her hand up to her forehead. She stared to a shelf on which Andie' duffle-bag lied. "We do nothing." Sara replied without looking up. "What?" Andie questioned. "After a leader is picked, they will hear the case that we present-" Sara said. "We haven't even talked about what happens if you become leader." Andie cut off Sara. "We can't state a case to ourselves-" "Get on topic." Sara snapped at Andie. "As I was saying, our case is only supposed to state the evidence and our theory about who killed Adin. We don't have to mention anything about Wyatt and Logan's stalker yet." Andie nodded. "I feel like we should. What if this stalker and Adin's killer are the same person?" "That's a guess. We don't have evidence to back that up. After all, Brock and Taylor are too obvious to throw out of question." Sara replied. Andie paused. "So, we just give our case against Brock and Taylor, and we investigate the rooftop incident later?" Andie asked. "Exactly." Sara said. The two stared at each other for a second. But this was unknown to a certain someone outside the door. They couldn't see inside their room - well, at least not yet. Going outside and spying through the window is too risky, the person thought; so listening in on the two investigators was the next best option. Their blue journal held the details of Sara and Andie's conversation - Emma was just lied to and they are going to pin Adin's murder on Brock and Taylor. The person outside the door worried about the accusation; it could ruin them in one second. Who knows; maybe they knew Taylor or Brock were guilty, maybe it was even one of them kneeling in front of the door right now. Only this person truly knew who was listening to Andie and Sara. The thought gave them an evil grimace. After sounds of undressing and kissing, they decided enough was enough for Sara and Andie, so they decided to wrap up the eavesdropping and leave the scene. They were careful not to bump the door upon standing up. They stepped away and got one last look at the door. They nodded and went to their room.
