Three:
Slowly, the occupants of the cabin slowly abandoned the foyer and returned to their respective rooms silently. Wyatt and Logan were the last to leave, both looking at the blood stain on the floor. Logan wasn't sad or even scared by it - all she felt was shock. She had no idea that one of her friends had the will to do this, even if it was Adin himself pulling a gag on everyone. She hadn't really stopped to think about if Adin could actually do this to them; leaving them alone in his own cabin seemed unlike him. She knew from Jeanette that he cared a lot about his friends; Jeanette would talk at school for periods about Adin's thoughts toward herself and his football team-mates. The thought gave her assurance that this was not a prank, but she still doubted it. "I mean, c'mon." She thought to herself. "He's a boy." She shook her head and looked to Wyatt. "Let's get upstairs. I'll feel safer up there." He said. Wyatt took Logan's hand and walked her up the stairs. When she turned, she looked back on the blood stain. Up close, the stain looks smaller. From up above, she saw that the blood stain goes from the chandelier to the front door, much larger than she previously perceived. She continued up the stairs. A wall eventually cut off her view of Adin's blood. She proceeded to look in front of her and follow Wyatt down the hall. They found their room and walked inside. All seemed normal, except one thing - the bedroom window was open. The chill of the night had conquered the room temperature, which caused goosebumps on Logan's exposed legs. "Close the window." Logan shivered to Wyatt. He immediately approached it and closed it. He looked back at her. "Did you open it?" She asked. "Yeah." He replied. "I spilled cologne in here earlier. I didn't want the room to smell like me." "Well, I like that smell." Logan said, walking closer to Wyatt. She tucked her dirty blonde hair behind her ear. Wyatt came closer to Logan and met her in a hug at the foot of their bed. The two stared at each other again, letting only their breathing be the only noise. "Despite all that's happened, I feel safe in your arms." Logan said, resting her head on Wyatt's chest. "I do too." Wyatt said. The two started to dance a bit. There was no music, but that didn't really stop them. The two danced for a bit and said nothing. "We have to figure out who did this." Wyatt said after a few moments of silence. "I know." Logan replied, now shutting her eyes. The two fell into silence and continued to slow dance. The night still plagued the room cold, but the two together produced heat like no other. Wyatt clung to Logan like she had never before. The hug and dance were not like any other they've had. Wyatt felt like the world, people, and things he thought were all untrue. A friend murdered was not something he imagined happening in his lifetime. Especially alone on an island with no adults and no cell reception. He was honestly scared to death at his own realization. But the comfort of being together with his love lowered his fear. With her comfort, he felt like he could handle the situation better and ultimately come to want he wants: justice. Looking down at Logan's hair reminded him of the Junior prom earlier that year. He remembered the feeling of true love to Logan. The thought of prom made him smile. But then he remembered why he remembers that night so well - Prom was the same night Adin supposed got Jeanette pregnant. Her name floated around now in his mind - Jeanette. The blonde ruled the school with her looks and social status. Her and Adin got Homecoming King and Queen two years in a row - the year Jeanette didn't get it, she chased the Homecoming Counsel out of the dance with some choice words. She got suspended for the ordeal, and a forever label - the Drama Queen. Hearing that name made Wyatt think of Logan and Sara - Jeanette's two closest friends. Obviously, Adin steals Jeanette to parade her around like she's a fancy new pair of shoes; Logan and Sara got along okay with each other, though. Wyatt thought about Jeanette's and Adin's ways, and realized something horrible. "Logan." Wyatt said in a concerned tone. "Yes?" Logan replied in a dreamy voice. "Did Jeanette kill Adin?" He asked. Logan let to of him and immediately and looked up in disgust at Wyatt. "How could you say that? Of course not, she didn't kill him. You saw the way she was crying-" She hissed. "And that's a point; maybe she felt guilty after-" Wyatt tired. "Stop." Logan said, putting a hand in front of her. "I'm tired thinking about this. I just want to dance with you, and forget what we have to face probably for the next 13 days. Please, can we not talk about this? I trust her, and I don't want doubt in my mind that I absolutely do." Logan reached for Wyatt's hand and locked their fingers together. "I'm going to lay down. You can say up, but don't you dare leave this room, Wyatt." She said. "I won't." Wyatt replied. Wyatt turned away and to the window. He looked out of it. He could see the fire pit, still ablaze with flame. The lake shimmered with the stars and moon. The moon itself was striking - not a quite full, but almost close to it. He heard from behind him Logan starting to undress; he resisted the urge to look back at her and continued to gaze outside. Logan sat down on the spring bed and exhaled. Wyatt turned around in thoughtful excitement. Wyatt observed she only wore a bra and panties, both pink. "Not tonight." She said, almost reading his mind. Wyatt nodded and took off his party vest. He continued to undress until his boxers. Logan stared at him the whole time. He tried not to make the situation awkward or uncomfortable for her. He thought about slipping off his boxers, but he didn't want to make a move she wasn't ready for. He left his clothes on a pile on the floor and slipped in bed. Logan slid under the covers and pulled the top blanket over her shoulder. With her free arm she reached out to a convenient light switch and flipped it downward.
