Jada
The ride to the restaurant was quiet and long, we pulled up the restaurant and smiled. The restaurant was closed down for good and the windows were boarded up.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Lani asked playing with one of the curls of my wig.

"Yeah, it has to be done." I said getting out the car and walking around to the trunk.

I grabbed the duffel bag full of money and the tire iron Lani kept back there.

"What if he tries something?" Lani asked.

"I hope he does." I said closing the trunk and making my way around back.

Lani pulled off, going to hide where the car couldn't be seen. I took a deep breath and knocked on the back door, the same way I used to do when we were younger.

"Jessica you made it." A familiar voice said, I looked up and saw Leo standing there.

I rolled my eyes as I stepped in hiding the tire iron from him.

"You don't look too happy to see me."

"I think Lani would be happier to see you." I said tossing the bag onto the bar. "Isn't that the reason why you texted her and not me?"

"You were always my favorite." Leo said reaching out to touch my shoulder. "I always loved your attitude."

His hand moved down my arm, touching my elbow. His gaze remained on me as he reached for the tire iron. I switched hands and looked at him.

He looked at me and smiled, he looked at the duffel bag. I gripped the tire iron prepared to use it.

I felt his hand on my waist, then moved closer.

"It's a shame I wasn't the one to get you pregnant." He said licking his lips. "But I have ways to make those babies disappear."

That's when I lost it, I kneed him in his nuts then hit him across the face with the tire iron and grabbed the duffel bag and started running towards the door.

I rushed out the door and Lani was already waiting  for me. I got in the car and she sped off taking unnecessary turns to make sure we hadn't been followed. As she drove I changed my clothes and tucked the dress and shoes away.

We pulled up to the house and saw August's car already in the driveway. I looked over at Lani and she just sighed. I got out the car and started walking towards the front door hoping nothing looked suspicious. I unlocked the front door and stepped into.

Lani went into the living room while I crept up the stairs to put the duffel bag and dress back where they belonged. Once I finished, I went downstairs and went into the kitchen and grabbed the pack of Oreos out of the cabinet and the cookies and cream ice cream out the freezer.

I filled my bowl with ice cream then grabbed a spoon then and went  into the living room. The only places I could sit was next to August or on the floor. I set the stuff on the coffee table then sat down on the floor in front of Lani.

"You could've sat next to me." August said while patting the empty space next to him.

"No thanks." I said opening the pack of Oreos. "You want one Lani?"

"I do." Chris said reaching for the Oreos.

"I said Lani." I said smacking his hand away.

"Ow!" Chris yelped. "I just wanted some Oreos."

"Oreos?" Justice asked picking her head up off August's arm. "I want some."

"Here baby." I said stretching to give her one.
