Jada
I sat up in bed the next morning and looked around my room. I thought back to the conversation I had last night with James. I couldn't tell if it was just a dream or if it really happened. I got up and went into my bathroom to start get ready. I walked over to the sink and didn't see James's gun anywhere.

It was only a dream. I thought to myself as I brushed my teeth and washed my face. When I was finished, I went straight to Lani's room. She was already awake watching Criminal Minds. I closed her door and walked over to the bed. I sat down on the edge of the bed and looked at her.

"What's up?" She asked turning down the tv.

"I had a dream about James last night." I whispered.

"Like the dream you had at the hospital?"

"Kinda, he spoke to me though."

"What did he say?"

"Said somebody replaced the bullets in August's gun with ones that just paralyze you. He also said that somebody came into the house before the police officer got there."

"That's a lot of details are you sure that was just a dream?" She asked.

"That's what I was thinking too but, when I woke up his gun wasn't on the bathroom sink."

"Maybe your brain is trying to convince you that James is still alive so you don't feel guilty."

"This is exhausting." I said as I massaged my temples.

"You could always ask August."

I nodded my head before getting off of the bed. I walked out of her room then went back into my room to see August sitting there with a gun in his hand.

"Close the door." I could tell that he was upset about something.

"What's wrong?" I asked closing the door.

"Why do you have this?" He stood up and walked towards me. "I thought we agreed no guns in the house."

"First of all, we never agreed to that." I said folding my arms across my chest. "Second of all, that gun isn't mine."

"Well I found in your bathroom."

"Just because it was in my bathroom doesn't mean it's mine."

"Then whose gun is it?" He thought to himself. "You had a nigga in my house?!"

"Your house?!" I began laughing.

"I don't find anything funny."

"August not to burst your bubble or anything." I smirked. "But, last time I checked my name is on the deed not yours."

"Was someone here yes or no?"

I nodded my head as August put the gun into a shoebox.

"Tell me exactly what happened."

"I can't." I said firmly before walking out of my bedroom. "Not until I know more."

I went downstairs to see Lani and Chris in the kitchen making breakfast. I sat down as August walked into the kitchen still holding the box.

"Lani do you know who this gun belongs to?" August asked showing Lani the gun.

"No." Lani answered. "Why would I know who it belongs to?"
