Jada
As I made my way to the bar with Kendra. The bartender served a lady with a stunning red dress before focusing his attention on us.

"Does he look familiar to you?" I whispered in Kendra's ear.

"A little but it's a dark nightclub everyone starts to look the same."

We ordered our drinks and drank them before going onto the dance floor. I wasn't really feeling the whole club scene, but I just really needed to get out of the house. I was dancing with Kendra when I felt a hand on my waist that definitely didn't belong to Kendra.

"Oh hell no." I shouted over the music as I grabbed the hand and removed it from my waist. "Excuse me sir, if you want to keep your hand I suggest you refrain from placing it where it doesn't belong."

"Haha I think you're mistaking sweetheart. My hands are exactly where they belong."

"This nigga got me fucked all the way up." I thought to myself as I glared at Kendra who was dramatically clutching her side as she laughed.

"Listen here lil boy if you put your hands on my waist again the only you're going to belong is the hospital understand."

"I ain't no lil boy, I'm a man."

"Fuck out my face with that dumb shit." I turned to Kendra. "And I don't find nothing funny so stop laughing."

The man walked away from me with his head slightly bowed, I rolled my eyes as we walked back towards the bar. I checked the time on my watch and sighed, I leaned closer to Kendra so that she could hear me over the loud music.

"I think it's time for me to head back home." I said causing her to turn and look at me. "But I'm going to head to the bathroom real quick."

"What? We've only been here for an hour." Kendra whined as downed her drink so that she could come with me to the bathroom.

I went into the stall and did my business, afterwards I walked over to the sink to wash my hands. Kendra reapplied her lipstick and glared at me as I pulled my hair up into a neat bun.

"Are you going to stay here or are you going to leave?" I asked.

"I think I'm going to leave with you." She replied grabbing her bag of the counter.

"Thank god."

We both shared a quick laugh as we walked out to the parking lot, I got in my car and pulled off, heading towards the house. I turned up the radio as I drove along the somewhat quiet road, thinking about everything that I had been through over the years.

I let out a heavy sigh as I pulled into the driveway, I turned the car off and took the keys out of the ignition. I gathered my stuff and got out the car, taking my time getting to the front door, mentally preparing myself for a lecture.

I sat up on the couch slowly dozing off, waiting for Jada to get home. I heard the sound of keys jingling and footsteps, followed bu the front door opening. I got off the couch and walked to the front door to see Jada quietly closing the door with her heels in her hand.

"Where did you run off to?" I asked causing her to jump as she locked the door.

"What do you want?" She asked turning around and glaring at me, like I was the one that snuck in at 12am."This is my house, you're just a guest."

"Watch what you say."

Jada rolled her eyes and pushed past me, I followed her upstairs to her bedroom and went inside, closing the door behind me.

"Get the fuck out my room." She paused for a moment. "Actually get out of my house and take Chris's greedy ass with you."

"Where is all of this coming from?"

Jada ignored me as she searched the draws for her pajamas, once she found them, she went into the bathroom to get changed.

I told you she hates your stupid ass

I sat on the edge of the bed and placed my head in my hands, the bathroom door opened and Jada stepped out wearing her pajamas.

"I thought I told you to get out." Her aggravation was apparent in her voice however, I knew she wasn't going to yell because she didn't want to wake up the kids.

"Are you forgetting that you're a mother now?" I asked sternly. "You have responsibilities."

"Do you think I wanted to be a mother?" Jada stepped closer to me. "Then again who knows what's going on inside that head of yours."

From the crazed and angered look in her eyes, I could tell that I had struck a nerve.

"You probably thought that we were in a relationship even before we actually met. You probably planned that guy approaching me at the bar that night you 'saved' me."

"I'm going to just give you some space."

"It's about time."

I got off the bed and walked out her bedroom closing the door behind me. I heard the door lock behind me and leaned up against the wall letting the tears fall from my eyes.

"I told you she hated you." I sighed as I wiped the tears away and went downstairs like everything was normal.

I didn't bother arguing with the voice because, I knew this time it was right. Jada did hate me and there was nothing that I could do about it. I laid down on the couch and stared up at the ceiling.
