Jada
"We're here!" Chris exclaimed as August nudged me awake.

"Stop touching me, don't you see me trying to sleep." I groaned turning in my seat. "And stop yelling it's not that serious."

August chuckled as he helped me out the car, I walked into the house and went upstairs. I walked into the laundry room and grabbed a clean towel and rag. I went into my bedroom and picked out my outfit and laid it on my bed. I went into the bathroom and turned on the shower, so the water could heat up. I stood at the kitchen sink and brushed my teeth, then washed my face.

It wasn't long before the steam from the shower fogged up the glass, I stripped out of the clothes I had on and stepped into the shower. First, I washed my hair it felt good to shower like I wanted to. After I washed my hair, I squirted my Lavender Body Wash onto my rag, I lathered up my body for about 45 minutes, trying to wash away the memories.

I was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Jada are you alright in there?" August called. "You've been in the shower for almost an hour."

"Yeah I'm almost done."

I rinsed off my body, turned off the shower, stepped out the shower and wrapped my towel around my body.

"August get out of my room and close the door." I said peeking out the door.

"Alright, I'll be downstairs if you need anything."

"Ok."

August walked out my room and I rushed out the bathroom and locked the door. I sat on the edge of the bed and put lotion all over my body then got dressed:

I sighed as I walked over to my mirror and slicked my hair into a ponytail, I covered up the bruises then went downstairs

I sighed as I walked over to my mirror and slicked my hair into a ponytail, I covered up the bruises then went downstairs. August was too busy playing on his phone to notice I had walked into the kitchen. The phone in the kitchen started ringing, Lani picked it up and put the phone to her ear. After a few minutes, she hung up and looked at me.

"Who was it?" Chris asked getting his keys.

"It was your Nana." Lani said looking at me.

"What did she want?" I asked.

"She wanted to know where you were."

"Was she talking shit?" I asked already getting an attitude. "Because, I can just get the kids, leave and never come back."

Lani looked at me, from the look on her face I knew Nana was talking shit. I rolled my eyes as we all piled into the car. We pulled up to my grandparent's house:

I walked up to the porch and knocked on the door, the door opened and Justice practically knocked me over

I walked up to the porch and knocked on the door, the door opened and Justice practically knocked me over. I picked her up and kissed her all over her face.

"I missed you!" Justice yelled. "I thought I forgot about you."

"I would never forget you guys." I said feeling heart broken by her words.

"Who's at the door?" My grandpa asked coming to the door.

"Hi grandpa." I said hugging him. "Where's Aj?"

"He's upstairs with your Nana."

"Go get your stuff ready." I told Justice as I set her down on the floor, and made my way to my Nana's room.

I knocked on the door and waited before opening the door. Aj was sitting on the bed staring at the TV, I sat on the bed beside him and he crawled into my lap. I played in his soft curly hair as I stared at him.

"Hi my handsome prince." I said giggling as he stood up on my lap.

I kissed his forehead and stood up, I left the room still holding him and went downstairs, to see August, Chris, and Lani sitting on the couch with my grandpa.

"Daddy!!" Aj whined reaching for August.

"Come here lil man." August said taking Aj from me.

"Sooooo..." My grandpa said making it awkward. "Are you 2 thinking about getting married."

August and I exchanged a quick look before, clearing our throats and looking back at my grandpa.

"I would love to marry her but, I don't think she wants to marry me." August said with a sad look on his face.

"Aw...Jada why don't you want to marry him?" Nana said coming downstairs with Aj's bag.

"Yeah, he's such nice guy."

"Well you have our blessings."

I glared at August as Justice came into the room and sat next to August.

"Well, I think it's time for us to get going." I said as Lani stood up and started heading towards the door holding the kids' bags.

"Wait? I have some food for you guys to take home."

I followed my Nana into the kitchen and stood there while she piled aluminum pans filled with food in my arms. I smiled and thanked her before walking out to the car with everyone else, August was still talking to my grandparents about proposing me to me.

I put the food in the back and got in the passenger seat. Lani and Chris decided do their own thing while August and I spent time with the kids.

We pulled up to the house, and went inside, I put one of the pans in the oven to warm up as I cleaned out the fridge and cabinets. I could feel August watching, I sighed as I turned around to see him standing there with a smirk on his face.

"What are you smirking for?" I asked grabbing a pen and paper off the counter.

"You're grandparents really want us to get married." He said chuckling.

"And? That doesn't mean we're going to get married."

"We'll see about that."

"There's nothing to see, we aren't getting married."

August mumbled something under his breath as he walked out of the kitchen into the living with Aj and Justice. The timer went off and I grabbed 4 plates, I fixed plates and set them down on the counter.

"Wash your hands and come eat."

August
After we washed our hands, we went into the kitchen and sat down at the table to eat. I couldn't help but stare at Jada as she ate her food.

"What do you guys want to do today?" Jada asked the kids.

"Movies!" Justice said excitedly.

"Do they have drive-ins here?"

Jada nodded as she pulled out her phone, I assume to check the movies and the times. I could tell that something was bothering Jada, we never actually talked about what happened while she was she being held nor did we talk about that picture they sent me.

Jada stood up and cleared off the table, she put the dishes in the sink and began frantically scrubbing away. I stood up from the table and walked over to the sink. I put my a around her and I could feel her tense up.

"I'm sorry." I said, quickly moving my arm.

"It's fine." Jada said not looking up from what she was doing.

"Do you need some help it would be a lot faster if we worked together."

Jada continued washing the dishes acting as if I wasn't standing there. I couldn't help but feel guilty. I walked out the kitchen leading Aj and Justice into the living room so we could watch cartoons while we waited for Jada to finish.
