I walked into my closet and started looking for clothes that could fit Lydia. I heard a knock on my door and then I heard the door open.

"Kendra honey? Where are you?" I heard my mom ask.

"In the closet." I said as I held up a shirt that could fit Lydia.

"Hun, why did Earl say that you had a girl with you?" She asked sweetly.

"Well I do mom. She's taking a bath right now. She was late getting home and her father wasn't the nicest about it." I said. I grabbed a pair of shorts that I knew would fit her and then I walked out my closet. I saw my mom sitting on my bed and I sat by her.

"Oh really? What happened?" She asked.

"Well from what I heard her father has her on a pretty early curfew and he was mad when she wasn't home on time. I heard him yelling at her through the phone and he told her to find a park bench to sleep on so instead I took her here. She said it happens a lot mom." I said as I looked at her sadly.

"Well why is he so mean to her? Do you know?" She asked.

"Honestly I don't think he fully supports her being lesbian." I said and she sighed.

"Most people don't. Anyways, she can stay as long as she wants. Her father doesn't sound so nice." She said and then she stood up. She patted me on the shoulder and walked out my room. I stood and went to the bathroom. I knocked on the door and didn't hear anything. I turned the handle and I was glad she didn't lock it. I opened it to see her hair went and wrapped in a towel standing in front of the sink. She was looking down at her arms and I could clearly see all the scars that were on her body. She still hadn't noticed I was there. I slowly placed the clothes on the sink and walked behind her. I slowly wrapped my arms around her and she jumped. She looked in the mirror with wide eyes but relaxed when she saw it was me.

"Your still beautiful no matter what." I said as I looked at her arms and then at her through the mirror.

"You weren't ment to see me like this." She said quietly.

"Everything happens for a reason love." I said and then I kissed her on her cheek. She blushed and looked down at her feet.

"Go ahead and get dressed. Hopefully these clothes will fit you." I said as I grabbed the clothes and handed them to her.

"Thank you Kendra." She said.

"Don't mention it love. I'll let you get dressed now." I said and then I walked out the bathroom. I shut the door behind me and right after that there was a knock on the door. I walked over and opened it.
"What's up Earl." I asked.

"Lady, your friends are here. I sent them to the game room considering you had a guest in here already." He said.

"Oh thanks Earl. Will you tell them I'll be there in a bit. I'm going to wait for Lydia to get out." I said.

"As you wish." He said. He bowed and then walked out the room.

"Who was that?" I heard Lydia ask as she walked out the bathroom.

"Earl. Come on. The guys are here." I said. I grabbed her hand and intertwined my fingers with hers. I guided her to the game room where the guys were making themselves at home.

"Yo I see you got that cutie staying with you already." Mason said.

"Yeah I do so stop staring at her." I said jokingly. He laughed and shook his head. I pulled her over to the love seat and sat down first. I pulled her down and she gasped as she landed on my lap.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Calm down. We're just sitting down, okay." I said as I pulled her closer to me.

"You're making my shorts go up." She whispered. I looked at her legs and saw as she had scars there too and she was trying to hid them.

"Stop. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks. I think your beautiful on the inside and out." I said as I moved her hand.

"Don't please. I don't want everyone to know." She said as she lowered her head ashamed.

"Hey, don't be ashamed. That's all in the past now. Okay." I said and then I kissed her nose. She smiled and gave me a hug.

"Hey you two. No PDA." George said while snickering.

"Shut up. Its my house." I said over her shoulder and I heard her giggle. She buried her head in the crook of my neck and I knew it was because she didn't want them to see her blushing. We all knew she was and we all started laughing. We spent the next few hours playing video games and relaxing. It was already getting late and the guys were just starting to leave. I held Lydia in my arms because she had fallen asleep. The guys said bye to me and my mom. After they left I carried Lydia back to my room and I gently laid her down on my bed. I walked out my room and left the door open so I could hear if she called for me. I walked down to my mom's office and stood in the doorway.

"Hey mom. You saying up late again?" I asked.

"Yeah honey. I have to get these buildings drawn out." She said. She was and architect so she made lots of money and was gone sometimes all day.

"Okay mom. Just make sure you get some sleep." I said.

"I will honey. You don't have to worry about me." She said. I smiled and nodded. I was about to walk away when she spoke again.

"Do you like this girl?" She asked. I knew she was referring to Lydia.

"Yeah. I don't know what it is yet but something draws me to her. Even her touch calms me down. It's crazy mom. I barely know her but I feel closer to her than I am Paige." I said and she smiled.

"Just don't hurt her." She said.

"I wo-" I was starting to say but then I heard a high pitched scream. I immediately ran to my room knowing it was coming from Lydia. I ran to my bed where she was screaming in her sleep. I went to her side and gently touch her.

"Lady Kendra. Please step away from her. It's not safe." I heard as Earl touched my arm, trying to pull me back.

"Get off" I yelled as I pushed him away from me and cradled Lydia's screaming body to me.

"Lydia. Wake up. Its me. It's Kendra. I won't hurt you. Come on Lydia. Wake up." I said as I brushed my hand across her cheek while getting the hair out of her face. Her eyes shot open and met mine. Instantly she shot up and hugged me. Then she started crying into my neck. I held her and rocked her gently.

"Shh. I'm here. I'm here. You're okay." I said as I held her tight.

"It was terrible." She cried.

"I know. I know. Its okay now. I'm here." I said.

"Kendra." My mom said. I turned to see her helping Earl off the ground.

"I'm sorry. Y'all just don't understand. She needs me." I said as I looked at them.

"It's fine Lady Kendra. I know you were just worried. No hard feelings. We shall be leaving now. I'll see the both of you tomorrow." He said as he guided my mom out my room and shut the door behind him.

"Please don't leave me again." She said as she clung to me for dear life.

"I won't. I promise." I said and then after a while I knew she fell asleep.

"I'll be here for you." I whispered before I turned off the lights and fell asleep as well.
