They we no thing fighting to get to each other. Lydia now had tears running down her face as she begged for me to let her go. I had to admit. They did look a lot a like. It was clear were Lydia received her looks from.

"Please." She begged again. I pulled her closer to me and hugged her.

"I'll walk you over." I said and she squealed. She jumped up and hugged me.

"Guys let's go." I said to my best friends. They nodded and walked behind us. Lydia was jumping in excitement and her so called mother was still trying to get out of this man's hold. We were mere inches now and the lady along with Lydia broke free and ran to each other. They hugged eachother and they fell to the floor.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you all over." The lady said.

"Father kept moving us from.place to place. But I live here now with my mate Kendra." Lydia said as they looked at eachother.

"She's your mate?" The lady asked and Lydia nodded with a huge smile on her face. "The Alpha of this pack?" She questioned and Lydia once again nodded. The smile never left her face.

"I'm so happy for you baby." The lady said as she hugged Lydia again.

"Thanks mom." Lydia said. She was about to say something else when her mom cut her off.

"Wait. What's that sound? Is that?" She said as she yanked Lydia up with her which caused a growl to erupt through my chest. She lowered her head to Lydia's belly and I saw the smile grow on her face.

"So that's why your mate is so protective." She said as she looked at us. I grabbed Lydia's hand and pulled her back to me. Then the man went and stood by her mom.

"Who is this?" Lydia asked as she looked at the man.

"This is my mate. He's why I left. I wanted to take you with me baby but he said it would be too dangerous for you. With my mate being a vampire I would soon be changed into one and it was best that you stay with your father than with me. Leaving you was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I didn't want to baby. I really didn't. I loved you so much and I still do now. How's your father? Where is he? Oh good Lord please tell me he isn't inside is he?" She said and I growled at the mention of him.

"That sorry excuse of a person is not welcomed here from what he did to Lydia." I spoke and her eyes widened.

"Oh Lord what did he do? Did he hurt you baby? I swear I'll kill him for hurting you." She said.

"He abused her. That's why she stays here with me and my pack. And she is my mate after all. And I'll be the one killing him for hurting my mate. Its my job to protect her and I failed before but I won't now. Its my responsibility. But since you are my mates mother I suppose you and your mate can stay. She could use her mother here for support with the baby." I said and the lady smiled.

"Thank you. I know it's none of my business but how did y'all get pregnant. Donors maybe?" She said and I shook my head no.

"In our community all high ranks no matter if they are the same sex as their mates have the ability to be impregnated by their mate so that there can be an heir to take their place." I informed her and she nodded.

"Alpha Roberts. I'm not sure you should be sharing valuable information with a vampire ." Elisa said.

"This vampire happens to be my mates mother. As long as my mate trust her then I will tolerate her and her mate. Like I've said before Elias, this is my pack. This is my mates mother. As long as I am concerned they are welcomed to stay here." I growled and he bowed down.
