Chapter 36 Kendra

I saw as Lydia was looking at Nyx and she tried to hold up her hand. I lowered Nyx so that she could hold her hand and as soon as they touched Nyx stopped crying. I watched in amazement when I saw that Nyx's pitch black hair was slowly turning white. Then I heard as the monitor that was previously slowing down start to pick up again. I looked at the doctor in shock and he had the same look on his face. Lydia's heart beat returned to normal but her eyes stayed closed. My mate was alive. That's all that mattered to me. I kissed Nyx on her head and she giggled.

"You just saved mommy." I told her and she smiled. I don't know if she understood me but she seemed happy about what I was saying.

I grabbed Lydia's hand with my free one and smiled. I wouldn't be losing her. Thank the Goddess. I don't know how long I was sitting in a chair by Lydia's bed with Nyx in my arms. Along with Lydia, Nyx was now asleep. I sat there a while longer just enjoying everything. No one was aloud in here until Lydia woke up. I just didn't want them in here.

"Hmm. Kendra." I heard Lydia say. Instantly my head shot up to look at her. She was sitting up slowly as she covered her eyes from the bright light.
"Hey baby. How are you feeling?" I asked.

"I have a slight head ache but I'm fine. Can I hold her?" She said as she looked at Nyx in my arms. I smiled and nodded. I gently handed Nyx over to her and smiled at them.

"Has anybody came in yet?"She asked as she looked down at Nyx with pure adoration in her eyes.

"No. I wanted you to be able to rest peacefully and to be the second one to hold our child. She's amazing isn't she?" I said. She smiled at me and nodded.

"She sure is. I have to admit I liked her hair black but I guess white will do." She said. I chuckled and shook my head.

"I'm going to let everyone in. Is that fine?" I asked and she nodded. I smiled as I walked to the door and opened it. I was instantly met by the guys, Paige and Lydia's parents.

"Is she okay?" Paige asked.

"Let me see my fucking daughter." Kelly said. And all the guys had worried looks on their faces but stayed quiet.

"She's fine. She's awake now. I just wanted y'all to wait till she was awake. She gave the okay for y'all to go in." I said. Then everyone rushed in. I went to Lydia's side as she was still looking at Nyx. I saw that she was awake now and smiling at Lydia.

"Why is her hair white?" Kelly asked.

"Mom wouldn't you want to know what her name is be fire you start questioning your granddaughters appearance." Lydia scolded.

"Fine what's my little baby's name?"she asked as she walked over to see the baby's face. Once she did she gasped. "Her eyes are amazing." She whispered.

"I know. Her name is Nyx." Lydia said as she smiled happily at her mother.

"Can I hold her?" Kelly asked. Lydia only smiled and nodded her head. They carefully switched Nyx over to Kelly and I couldn't help but smile. Evryone was crowded around to see her. They were all dazzled by her. Every now and then when she would giggle they would awe. She would be a heart breaker when she grew up. I knew that for sure. Everyone couldn't take their eyes off her. She was beautiful. Gorgeous. I wrapped Lydia in my arms and held her close.

"We did that." I said smiling at her.

"We did. I can't get over how amazing she is." Lydia replied.

"I know." I said. Then we heard as Nyx yawned. "Here let me take her. I'm sure she's sleepy now." I said as I grabbed her from Kelly and set her in her baby bed.

"Congratulations you guys." Everyone said as they left the room. As soon as everyone left Lydia fed Nyx and then Nyx soon fell asleep. Lydia and I stayed up a while longer and talked.

We had decided that Nyx would take my last name and we'll be filling out her birth certificate tomorrow. After we both are we went to sleep. Lydia would have to stay over night and there was no way I'd be leaving her here alone. Not her and the baby. So there we were. Laying down in her bed. Me holding her in my arms as I looked at the both of them asleep. Nyx looked so much like Lydia. I knew that as she grew older her features would look more and mote like Lydia with a few hints of me. Maybe she'd have my personality. Probably not. I bet she'd have more if Lydia's shy but out going personality. Either way I wouldn't mind it at all. They were my family. This is my family and I would do anything for them. For anybody in my family. I knew I would love them for eternity. There was a quiet knock on the door and Jocelyn walked in with items in her arms.

"Excuse me Alpha, but I knew that Luna and Nyx would be able to leave tomorrow so I went and got Nyx some diapers and clothes. I also stepped by your room to get clothes for Nyx. I hope you don't mind." She said as she set the clothes on the side table.

"Thank you so much Jocelyn." I said.

"You're welcome Alpha. I didn't get you any clothes since I figured you would go to your room and change for tomorrow but seeing as you'll be staying here I would be more than happy to run back up and grab you some." She said and I nodded.

"Yes please. That would be amazing." I said and she nodded. Right after she left both Lydia and Nyx stirred but they remained asleep. This is my life from now on. But hey. I wasn't complaining.
