I watched as she walked away rather quickly. What could possibly be so important to her right now than celebrating our daughter's birth. We would for sure talk about it later. For now I shrugged it off. I smiled at the crowed as they continued to cheer.
"Let's celebrate!" I exclaimed happily. The roar of cheers grew louder as every one started celebrating. I was met by a few people at school.who congratulated me. Each one would fall in love with with her eyes. Well with her in general.
An hour or so passed and I saw Kendra talking to Nick. She seemed a bit frustrated. Something was off about her. She smelled different. Was she with someone else? I couldn't help the pang of jealousy that went through me. I saw her walk off without giving me a look. Ten minutes later she walked back outside in different clothes and her hair wet. She took a shower to get the smell off of her. I once again felt jealousy go through me. She saw me sitting with Paige and Mason as Paige held Nyx in her arms.
"Hey babe. Told you I'd be back." She said as she kissed my cheek. All I did was nod. "Hey you okay?" She asked me quietly.
"Just peachy." I replied dryly.
"Lydia. What's wrong?" She asked. She sounded worried and also nervous.
"I smelt someone else on you when you came back." I told her.
"Lydia it's not what you think I swear. You know I would never do that to you Lydia. I love you. You know that babe." She said as she pulled me in her arms. I sighed in relief. Thank the Goddess she wasn't with anyone else. But then why did she leave?
"Excuse me! I'd like to make an announcement!" Kendra yelled out and everyone got quiet. "I'd like to thank all of you for coming to celebrate the birth of my first born child. It means a lot to both Lydia and myself. I know Nyx loves the attention for sure." She said and as if on cue Nyx let out an adorable giggle. As I looked at Nyx I didn't pay attention to anything that was happening around me.
"Lydia." Ken said. I turned back around to see Kendra on one knee. She grabbed my hands and began speaking. "From the first time I saw you all I could think about was how beautiful you are. From then on I wanted to get to know you. I wanted you in my life no matter what. I do admit. It was a bit bumpy but that was easily over come. When I found out you were pregnant with my child it only made me love you more. I have to admit when we found out that you might not make it I was heart broken. I didn't know if I would be able to live with out you. You are my everything Lydia. I'm glad you are still here to be with me. So I ask you this. Lydia, will you marry me?" She asked. I didn't realize I was crying till she wiped away a tear from my cheek and then she pulled out a small black box. She opened it and revealed a beautiful diamond ring. I covered my mouth speechless. She was proposing to me.
"I don't want there being a chance of you leaving me. So I'm tying the not." She said. The tears were poring down my face.
"Of course." I said as I hugged her. She quickly hugged me back and I felt her relax in my embrace. We pulled apart and she put the ring on my finger. I once again jumped in her arms.
"That's what I was out doing." She whispered in my ear. I hugged her tighter to me. I never wanted to let her go.
"We are celebrating later." I whispered in her ear. I smiled as she shivered at my response to this whole situation. I kissed her cheek and pulled away. I smiled as everyone was cheering and clapping. Kendra gave m a quick kiss on the lips and pulled away with a huge smile on her face.
"Everything is so perfect with you." She said as she looked in my eyes. I couldn't help the blush that went to my cheeks.
"I love you Kendra." I said and she smiled even more.
"I love you too Lydia." She replied.
The rest of the time we celebrated both Nyx and our engagement. The party was finally over and Paige offered to watch Nyx so that Kendra and I could have some alone time. As soon as we were alone she pushed me against the wall and kissed me deeply. It was passionate and it showed me how much love she had for me. She deepened the kiss as she picked me up and gently place me on the bed. We pulled away for a very much needed breath of air and we New this was only the beginning of was to happen tonight.
"Goddess Lydia. You'll be the death of me." She said as she gently kissed me. This is how our life is going to be from now on.
Its perfect.
Just flat out...
Perfect.
