We had just gotten back to the house and we were starting to unload the groceries and beer.
"Kendra." I heard someone say quietly. I turned and saw Lydia making her way to me holding her stomach. I immediately stopped what I was doing and ran over to her. I scooped her in my arms and carried her back to the house.
"What happened Lydia?" I said as I set her on the island in the kitchen.
"My father. He." She said and then she broke down crying.
"Yo hey Ly- whoa. What the hell happened here?" George asked as he walked in the kitchen with bags in his hands.
"Nothing." I growled as I picked her up and carried her to the living room. She was holding onto me like her life depended on it.
"You're not going back there. You're staying here with me." I said and she nodded. I held her there and soon I knew she fell asleep.
"Hey is she okay?" Mason asked from the doorway. I looked up to see all the guys standing there looking worried.
"She'll be fine and George sorry for how I was towards you earlier." I said.
"Don't worry about it. You were just worried about her. I understand why you did what you did." He said. I gave him a small smile and then nodded.
"Well we got all the groceries unloaded. Well be here after school tomorrow to help set up okay." Trevor said and I nodded.
"Yeah see ya tomorrow." Carlos, Tim, Luke, Jake, and Anthony all said at once. I gave them a small smile and then they all left.
"Lady Kendra I have gotten all of Lady Lydia's clothes in the empty space in your closet." Earl said.
"Thanks Earl." I said.
"Lady Kendra would you like for me to call up Lady Liz so she can check up on her?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yeah that would be great. Thanks Earl." I said and he nodded then left. I slowly stood up and began carrying her to my room. I set her down on my bed and went to go change into some baggy shorts, my sports bra and a muscle shirt.
"Kendra?" I heard Lydia say. "Kendra!" She yelled right after.
"Whoa, whoa. Hey I'm right here. I'm right here." I said as I climbed on the bed and pulled her to me. She wrapped her arms around me and I heard as she let out a sigh of relief.
"I thought you left me." She whispered.
"I would never leave you." I said as I rubbed her back. Soon she once again fell asleep with her arms around me. I tried to get her to loosen her grip from me but she just tightened her grip.
"Don't leave. Please." She said with her eyes still close.
"Okay I won't." I said as I buried my head in her neck.
I woke up at around mid night and I slowly got up so I could go get a drink of water. I walked down got see my mom was also down in the kitchen getting a drink as well.
"Hey mum. Just getting in?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yeah I arrived just as Liz did. Do you know why she's here?" She asked.
"Uh yeah, um we called her because Lydia's father kind of got out of hand and he abused her. She managed to make her way here and she's asleep right now in my room. I just wanted to make sure Lydia was okay." I said.
"He what? Did she go to the police? That's not right!" She said.
"No I don't think she did. Can you just not make a big deal about it. I'm handling it. She's not going back there anyways. I won't allow it. I'll protect her no matter what." I said.
