Chapter 12 Kendra

I was still hanging with my friends when some guy ran up to me.

"Kendra. Scream. Your room. Think it's Lydia." He said between breathes and that was all I needed before I dropped my cup and ran upstairs. I busted through the door and saw Lydia on the bed while trying to get away from a guy that was trying to keep her there and take off his pants. I let out an animalistic growl and they both looked at me. Lydia looked relieved and the guy looked shocked.

"Mine!" I yelled as I ran at him. Lydia scooted to the head of the bed as I tackled the guy to the ground. I picked him up and threw him into the hallway.

"Mine! She's Mine!" I yelled as I threw him down the stairs. He rolled all the way down and groaned as he hit the bottom with a thud. Good. I hoped he was hurt. I went back to Lydia and she hugged me. This feeling wasn't going away. It was a burning sensation inside of me. And then I remembered my dream.

"Lydia. I need you to stay in here. Lock the door and stay in here. I'll be back as soon as possible." I said as I gave her a kiss on her forehead and then I basically ran out the room. I ran out my house and made my way for the woods. I ran and ran. I could no longer hear the sounds of the music coming from my house and then I fell to the floor while letting out a loud scream. I laid down on my back as it felt like my bones were breaking. I rolled over on my stomach as I felt my bones reshaping. This whole time I couldn't stop screaming. Once the pain stopped I stood up. What the he'll happened to me?

"Don't freak! Yes I'm a voice coming from your head but it's not as crazy as you think. I'm your wolf. My names Erin. I'm a part of you now. We are one. Don't worry, when we shift back it won't hurt as bad as it did when we shifted first. It'll just be sore." She said.

"Why did it hurt so bad?" I asked.

"It was our first shift. Our body wasn't exactly made to break and reform just like that. But don't worry all weres go through it. Soon it'll be like nothing." She said. "Shh, people are coming. Hide behind that bush." She said and then I quickly got up and did as she said. I had unnaturally good eye sight and I was able to make out four people in black robes.

"You. Behind the bush. Out now, and shift." A man said as he pointed in my direction.

"Its fine. We can trust him." Erin said. "To shift back to human form just imagine yourself as a human." She said. I followed her instructions and I felt my bones pop and I was back in human form. The weird thing is that I had some kind of tribal fur that covered my privates.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"We are the council members of the were community." A lady answered.

"The council. The Moon Goddess told me I can trust you." I said and they nodded.

"Yes you can. Get the blood sample." The male said.

"Blood sample for what?" I asked.

"We need to determine what ranking you are. If you are an Alpha you will be given a card that will supply you with money, we will be giving you books of our history and you can learn about our kind from there. How to be a responsible Alpha." The lady replied.

"What if I'm not an Alpha?" I asked.

"Then you will be moved to the nearest pack." She said flatly.

"I can't leave my girlfriend." I protested.

"Unless she is your mate, you won't have a choice." She responded.

"When will you get the results?" I asked.

"Any minute now." The man said. They had already taken my blood and were looking at some high Tec computer.

"Alpha." The guy said.

"Well lucky for you. You get to stay and start your own pack. We'll have everything to you by tomorrow. Congratulations Alpha Roberts." The lady said. She handed me some clothes and I put them on. Then they were gone. I started heading back to the house and the closer I got the more I heard the guys shouting my name.

"Kendra! Kendra where the he'll are you?" They shouted.

"Whoa what the hell guys? I'm fine. I'm right here." I said as I came out the woods.

"What the hell? Do you know how long you were gone?" Carlos said as he and the other guys came up to me.

"Not long I assume." I said.

"Ken. Its 3 in the morning. Lydia is worried sick about you." Nick said.

"Fuck Lydia." I said as I ran to the house. I ran up stairs and to my bedroom door. Instantly I started banging on it.

"Lydia, baby. Its me. Open the door." I said and I heard it unlock then open. Immediately she jumped in my arms.

"What the he'll happened to you?" She said. Then I breathed in her scent. It was just so wonderful. The smell of cinnamon and freashly baked cookies.

"Mate." I growled out. I shut the door behind us and I kissed her lips frantically. I couldn't get enough. She didn't complain either. She moaned into the kiss and she pulled me closer to her. I broke away and took a deep breath.

"Mine." I said.

"What was that. The sparks. That never happened before." She said as she panted.

"I'll have to explain later." I said and she nodded.

There was a knock on the door and then all the guys came in.

"You have some explaining to do." Carlos said and they all nodded in agreement. "What the he'll happened to you?" He added.

"Look guys. Y'all know me. Y'all know I'd never keep anything from y'all and I don't plan on it but right now I don't even know what happened. I want to find out more before I say anything." I said.

"You better. We're not letting this go." Kevin said and I nodded.

"I know y'all won't. But y'all will know. Eventually." I said and then they all nodded.

"We're staying the night by the way." George said.

"When don't yall?" I asked and they all laughed. Then they walked out my room.

"Don't be to loud now." Luke said and then he shut my door. I shook my head and as soon as I looked at Lydia She jumped on me and began kissing me. This girl was my mate. My mate. I only knew this because Erin kept yelling it earlier. She pulled away and smiled.

"I'm sorry. I can't get enough." She said as she blushed.

"Its fine beautiful. I enjoy you being like this." I said as I laid her down on her back. She giggled and then I started kissing her again. She moaned into the kiss again and I felt her wrap her legs around my waist. I pulled away and she pouted.

"We can't. I'm sorry beautiful. Its too soon." I said and she nodded. We both laid down and I turned off the lights. Then we went to sleep.
