I stop myself from looking at Dale. 'What's wrong with you Felix? Get it together and don't fall for people you know you can never have' I shake my head to clear these thoughts as Dale looks at me weirdly. "Are you okay? Need anything?" Dale puts down his menu to signal a waiter towards us.
"I'm fine. I am ready to order, though" I set my menu down to grab a slice of bread. "How can I help you sirs?" the well-dressed dalmatian asks us. "We're ready to order, " Dale asks for his food appointing the light to me now. "I'm actually not hungry..." I give them both a bright smile hoping they'll buy the fake smile.
"Alright..." the Dalmatian looks at Dale then walks off. "I'm gonna go wash up be right back" Dale goes to find the waiter and he orders me something anyways. 'Dale, Why do you have to be nice to me when everyone in my life hasn't been. Why do you have to care so much about me? When I showed no care towards you.' I stare out the window to focus on my thoughts. "He, Felix? Earth to Felix!?" Dale waves his hand in front of me to bring me back into reality. "Oh! Sorry 'bout that I was dozing off" I go back to eating my bread slice.
"I'm guessing you can fly, right? 'Cause you know wings plus being a dragon" I start to point out some of his features. "Yep! I sure can fly just don't do much often anymore. Doesn't come in handy as much as I thought it would" I tilt my head confused. "What do..." I cut myself off for it really isn't important to know. "Nevermind. I know we still barely know each other but how are you doing relationship wise? Any fine ladies out there that has stolen your heart?" I act as childish as possible when saying this stuff.
"Woah! Okay, I didn't expect this to be really brought up but I might as well answer or else we'll be both bored to death" Dale chuckles very lightly and I let out a small laugh. "So I'm straight, I mean you could've guessed that, right?" I nod my head being more curious since he didn't really seem sure when saying that. "Just keep going. I'm listening to all that you have to say" Dale proceeds to talk.
"My last girlfriend, that I had would have to be around 3 years ago? They all never seemed to love me? I don't know how to put it in words but they never cared for me other than money. Guess you can call them gold diggers if you want?" Dale looks at me with a loving smile. "Damn! How can someone as loving and caring like you end up with girls that don't care about you? That's this century for you!" I let out a sigh letting my slight feelings for Dale control me. "Seeing as how you were able to ask me anything. I think it's time to ask this little wolfie something" Dale laughs evilly while I sit in the chair nervously.
"I'm just messing with you! I mean I will ask my question but I won't ask something that's uncomfortable for you" Dale moves his seat to sit next to me. "Oh okay, Just ask the question whenever you want?" I chuckle a bit when Dale puts his arm around me. "Is this Wolfie gonna blush? Damn! I sure wish you were shy!" I shake my head at his words to move his arms off. "Wow! Just because I'm short and small, along with being cute? I'd have to be blushing because a huge dragon has been touching my shoulders?"
Dale looks down. "I'm sowwy, I just want fwends!" Dale looks back up to see me smiling. "Dale... I know we still barely know each other but I can see an awesome friendship between us! You've made so much more progress than anyone has ever made on me!" I raise my glass of water up slightly.
"I congratulate you on that!" We clink our glasses together to then see time fly. "You having to be kidding me!! You couldn't have done that!!" I laugh so hard as we walked back to the car. "I swear! It really did happen, even I was surprised to see the principal wearing the dress" Dale laughs a bit too hard to snort and I look at him even laugh more when I entered the car.
"Okay, okay! Let's calm down, you don't want to be distracted while driving?" Dale just nods his head putting on the radio and driving us home.
Once we get home I run to the couch to watch TV. "Woah? Why are you in such a hurry to watch the TV?" Dale sits right by my side. "I want to see what the weather is gonna be like tomorrow" Dale still looks at me confused wondering why I would care about that. "And why is that important?" I stop looking at the TV to face Dale.
" 'Cause I want to hang out more! Today was fun and I wish for more days like this" Dale let's out a sigh of happiness and is soon surprised to see me hug him. I slowly let go of the hug. "Did you really have that much fun? Or are you lying to me like all those others?" Dale looks at the TV not looking at me but I can see in the corner of his eyes that he is looking at me.
"Why would I lie? I really had the best time of my life! It's been a long time since I smiled like that...you are just one amazing guy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise" Dale turns right to look at me with his eyes shining. "Felix... Thank you for your words of kindness and love. I'm sure our friendship will last until we die"
"of course Dale! We'll be together until the end" I set my head on Dale's shoulder, slowly closing my eyes.
