Never Let Go (A Gay Furry story)

I guide us back to the car knowing your completely confused on what is happening right now. "We're gonna drive back to your home and then we are going to go back to sleep, if we see your mom. You are to say nothing but give a fake smile and maybe some sort of small talk then head to bed where we will sleep and deal with this situation the next day" Dale nods his head agreeing with what I have just told him.

I stare at the road while driving having Dale's mom in my head and what the nurse's have said back there just trying my damned best to assess what had happened. I put the car keys in my pocket once I parked the car in the garage, I look to my side seeing Dale distraught by the current news, so I just let out a sigh.

"C'mere Dale we're heading back to your room" I try my very best to be silent not wanting to wake up his dad by how late we did come back home. "Just take off your clothes and sleep in your boxers if you'd like?" I strip down to my boxers than grabbing a fairly large shirt of Dale's to sleep in.

"Sleep well Dale... Or try your best if you can" I close my eyes holding his hand tightly knowing he might not even sleep at all.

I wake up to the sounds of Dale yelling at his dad, I rush myself downstairs as fast as I can not caring how I slept. "What the hell is going on?!" I look at the both of them. Their faces being full of anger barely noticing the broken glass on the floor.

"Please Dale, go outside or upstairs to calm down." Dale lightens only a smidge as he storms off outside, I give out a sigh then shaking my head a bit to face Dale's father. "So? What happened?" Dale's father looks at me not wanting to tell me until he opens his mouth.

"He was just yelling about how his mother, my wife, doesn't love me anymore and that I should leave this house because I'm not wanted but he didn't get pay for this house nor did his mother" Dale's father shakes his head slightly. "If my wife is actually cheating on me then it's fine so long as she talks to me about it then I'll bring out some divorce papers and we'll be seperated" I blankly stare at him surprised by what he said.

"So you're telling me that you'll be okay with your family no longer loving or caring about you? What about when you grow old, who's gonna care about you then?" I try to help out but he just puts a hand on my shoulder. "Look son. Whatever is happening within this family just let it happen and stop stepping in trying to solve issues"

I nod my head going over to him giving him a hug, he tenses up when I do give him a hug but I feel his arms go around me just for a bit until I break it. "Try to do something at least?" I walk out the front door looking for Dale, wondering where he could have gone.

I take out my phone sending him a message hoping he'll respond or if he even took his phone with him. I wander through the nearest park scanning the area for any sign that he was there but nothing helps, so I slump myself down on a nearby bench.

An hour later or so I get a message from some number I don't know. "Sorry I didn't message sooner Felix, this isn't my phone it's a friends that I borrowed cause I'm at their house and well I was wondering that if you can stop by the house to get my phone and then come over here so we can go out to have dinner, sound like a plan?" I pause for a moment not knowing what to say at first.

"It takes that long to message me? I'm your boyfriend. You know you can talk to me about anything but let me guess you got distracted playing videos games? 'Cause that's what you usually get sucked into despite you just leaving me at the park wondering where the hell you are" I hit send without a thought.

"Just bring me my phone and we will talk" I look at the message rolling my eyes walking back to the house.

Once I make it to the house I go upstairs to grab his phone that was left charging but I come to realization that I don't know where his friend lives at so I send him a message even though I don't want to. "You do know that I don't know at all where your friend lives right?" Dale just sends the address, nothing else.

"He's such an ass" I mumble to myself walking up the steps to the house. I get close to ringing the doorbell when the door opens wide open with Dale on the other side. "Just get in already" I look into his eyes hoping to find him feeling sorry but nothing.

"So what is it you want!?" He yells right out at me once I get inside the house. "Okay hold on! I didn't do anything to you! I'm here because you told me to bring you your phone you fucking asshole" I take out his phone from my pocket throwing at him, lucky enough for him, he caught it.

"I'm starting to wonder if you even still love me? Yea maybe you came up with a nice plan for us to go have dinner but like do you really think that's what I want to do? I want to solve all these stupid issues that has been happening in your family! Are you not the least bothered by where your mother is right now?" I take a seat in the living room couch.

"Of course I'm worried about my damn mother! I just want to relax cause that's one thing I haven't been able to do Felix. I love you with all my heart and with all that I can give but even you being mad at me just got me to like some sort of breaking point, so I just went off on you or kinda did at least." Dale joins me on the couch holding my paw. I look down at the wooden floor then back up at Dales gorgeous eyes.

"Okay... Let's tackle these things one at a time. Where is your mother?" Dale grabs his phone does a bit of clicking and scrolling until he shows me her location. "How did you? Nevermind, I'll ask you on the plane. The United Kingdom here we go!" Dale gives a light smile bringing me into his arms. "Lets get some answers!" Dale yells out but right at that moment his friend pops his head out from the other room.

"So... We still ordering pizza and playing games?"
