Never Let Go (A Gay Furry story)

I took a shower once I got back down to our place so that I don't smell like sweat when I do meet up with Brad once again. "Imma just hope that if Dale sees me with Brad he will just think he's a friend because well he is and nothing else" I tell myself in the shower as i wash my fur. "Since we are just gonna be chilling out then there isn't a need to worry on what I should wear, right?"

About two hours pass by since I just took my nap to see got a missed call from Brad. "Shit..." I put the phone against my ear to hear the voicemail. "Hey Felix this is Brad, you know the one you were talking too up on the pool? Well I called to tell you that I might not be able to get home until way late since my car just broke down in the north-side of the city, if you do still wanna hang today, you'll have to pick me up. I'll send you the address I am at right now" I stop listening to the voicemail as I start to search the place he sent me. "Ugh he really had to go that far, didn't he?" I groan as I grab my car keys getting some other small things I need including a small snack for I was starting to get hungry.

While on my way I choose to call Brad to see what he's up to. "Hello, Feix?" Brad asks me as I try to focus more on the road. "On my way to pick you up since you really had to drive far up north didn't you? I am new to this city and i have been getting hella lost even though I have been using the GPS to help me out" Brad stays quiet for bit. "Well look Felix, I'll make it up to you, I also want to hangout and get to learn more about you because you really seemed to be a nice guy, so tell me how can I actually make it up to you?" I start to drive more fast so I can manage to give him that answer face to face.

"Uhm hold that thought for a second?" I tell him seeing him a bit in the distance. "Why? Are you trying to think of something? 'Cause I may have some ideas if you'd like me.... Never mind I see why you wanted me to wait because I can see you." I stop by him letting Brad get in. "My answer to your question is that we should just chill at my place for a bit, seeing as how you had a ruff day" I start to smile from the pun that I just told him.

"Oh fuck me... I swear if you keep doing puns like that I'm gonna leave this car" Brad starts to chuckle as he is playing along. "Oh come on! That pun wasn't the worst I've ever said. I mean it could have been cat-o-strophic if I did ever say something worse" I start to park the car as Brad walks out. "BYE! I told you no more puns!" He yells out at me.

"Wait, NO! I'm sorry Brad, I didn't mean to be so punny just I wanted to be silly but never ever take the stairs! Wanna know why Brad?" I lead him away from the stairs and to the elevator so we can go on my floor. "Why can't we take stairs?" Brad rolls his eyes to me as we go up. "I just never trusted those specific stairway because I always have this feeling that they are up to something" Brad starts to just yell while in the elevator. "OH MY GOD! You need help" Brad grabs my maw and keeps his paw on it to keep it shut until we get to my place.

"I'll let go if you please promise to stop making puns" I nod in agreement, so he lets go of his paw and I yawn but I go to serve myself some coffee to keep me up for a bit. "Want some? Its some what warm" I ask him kindly while he is looking for a decent movie on the TV. "Yea sure, Do you have anything to go with the coffee? Maybe like some sort of bread or cookie? I just have a craving for that for some reason." I started opening cabinets and drawers looking around for something that would go decently well with the coffee. "Okay so turns out that there is nothing that would go well unless you are some weirdo, who wants to drink coffee with crackers" I put the box on the countertop.

"Yea, no thanks, I don't want salty crackers but wait isn't there that small bakery near here? Here take my card and get us some sweets or anything you want, while I try to get everything comfy?" Brad takes his credit card out and hands it to me as he is trying to get everything comfy looking. "Uh sure thing Brad just if Dale comes, he's a dragon, tell him I went out to get the stuff" I walk out when he starts to ask me who's that.

"Should I tell him he's my boyfriend? Not everyone in this world is supportive of us, I mean this isn't some sort of fantasy" I put my paws to my face while I lower down to the lobby wondering what bakery place he's talking about.

Dale opens the apartment door to see Brad setting things up still since he found a good enough movie. "Who are you? Wheres Felix?" Brad jumps up to stare at Dale. "OH! So your Dale? Felix told me to tell you that he went out to go get some baked goods at that bakery place since I was craving something and I guess he was starting to want something as well so I gave him my card to go get it" Brad tells Dale. Brad goes to the kitchen to serve himself the coffee he was wanting. "Seems pretty chill and calm then" Dale gives a smile. " So you guys are gonna also watch a movie?" Dale starts to take his jacket off and removes his shirt so he can feel more at home. "Yea, wanna join us? Unless you had other plans? Nah I'll just join you guys because work today was just a bit too much today."

"Same! Well yesterday I had a night shift and once I got home I was soooo tired out plus what made matters worse is that a few of my friends wanted to still go to the club, so I had to cancel that to just get rest and sleep." Brad brings his cup full of coffee to the couch. "So relatable because today actually I was gonna ask Felix if he was gonna want to go this party but really I'm not up to go for it but should I still ask him? I mean I wanna go so he can meet some furs there so he won't be lonely when he is at school" Dale served himself a cup of coffee to also join Brad on the couch.

"Just bring it up to him and speaking of him. HERE COMES THE SAVIOR WITH THE SWEETS!" Brad yells out being excited spilling half of his coffee on the floor.
