Antis POV
Bloody footprints lead away from the scene in the living room. Pools of blood surrounded the torn apart boy. Smashed bottles, spilled beer, stains of red were everywhere around the scene. My right cheek was pressed on the cold floor. A bright red stain left in its place. I pushed my hands against the worn out carpet, using the little momentum I had to push me up. Searing pain washed over my body, making my battered body fall to the floor once more. Any strength that once lived in my body had vanished into thin air. Yet I lifted myself once more. Using my little muscle strength to get into a sitting position.
Once in that position, I noticed the blood stains. Crimson and scarlet were all over the white carpeted floor. My hands were caked in my own blood, along with my wrists and forearms. While trembling, I continued to push myself till I was standing. My clothes sagged awkwardly. Beer slipped from the fabric and fell to the ground in little drops. Blood dripped along with the awful smelling beer.
Pain. Lots and lots of pain.
I thought that I would get use to it. After getting beaten to mercy for hours a day I thought that I'd get use to the pain. Sadly it doesn't work that way. As I grew the pain only grew worse. The beatings more frequent and more torturous.
When I finally managed to step into my bedroom I collapsed on the floor. My muscles were screaming in agony. The pulled and ripped apart muscles just couldn't take the pain anymore. But as I glanced at the small clock on the wall, I knew that I would have to deal with the pain a little longer. A small arrow showed that it was a little past 7:30. Achingly, I stood from my spot and continued to get ready for the day.
Today I didn't have time for a shower. So the sticky beer and crusted blood clung to my skin. I picked up a baggy, black sweatshirt and black, ripped jeans. If I did bleed through it wouldn't show very much. In a slow manner, I changed from my soaked clothes to the fresh ones from my closet. After, I brushed my teeth and did other daily things. Before I exited the bathroom I drowned a couple painkillers.
My backpack sagged on my shoulders. The straps hanging awkwardly on my shoulders. I didn't stop to adjust them, I just let them rub against the bruises that were placed there.
I walked out of the house in a rush. Movement came from inside the building, a glass faintly shattering in the distance. The left side of my body ached as I walked down the steps and to the sidewalk. As quickly as I could I escaped the house and to the street. At least in public, they can't hurt me.
Surprisingly enough, Mad Cry, DemonKen, Lucius, Dark, and a few others stood by the sidewalk. Seemingly to be waiting for me. I glanced back at the house before moving towards them. Mad Cry took one look at me before opening his mouth to spew words.
"Jesus Anti, you look like you've gone through a tornado. Are you alright?"
I reassured them by saying, "I'm fine, just clumsy."
Dark didn't seem so convinced, "Ah yes, a clumsy person would be walking like they just stabbed a knife through their foot."
"Dark, really, I'm fine."
Lucius sensed the growing tension, so he changed the topic. "Anti, I have a couple more people for you to meet. I know you're not keen on meeting people, but I think you'll like these people."
Fear pulsed through me as I looked over at the new people. They all were staring at me, waiting for them to be introduced. I looked back at the house only to see my parents bedroom curtain swish.
A boy in the middle of the crowd squealed. He rushed up to me with the biggest smile on his face. "You really need to answer your texts."
"Wait..."
Lucius stepped in, "Well, it looks like you two know each other."
I shook my head, staring at the odd boy who had a grin planted on his face. He was shorter than I was, although he looked short because he stood next to a giant. His black hair was shaved at the sides and was gracefully set over the left side of his face. He stared at me with his completely black eyes.
"Your Itch," I said.
"The one and only," He replied with a smirk.
"How'd you get my number?"
Itch smiled, "Powers."
He smiled at me like he was innocent, "Great," I sarcastically said.
"So this is Itch, Rot, Lava, Kill, and Devin," Lucius said while pointing to each person. (The people are from Pentatonix. Itch=Mitch, Rot=Scott, Lava=Avi, Kill=Kirstin, Devin=Kevin)
"Nice to meet you guys," I spoke while shifting slightly. A small whimper escaped my throat but I muffled it with a fake cough.
Everyone stared at me, each one showing their concern. I slipped and leaned to the side, Dark caught me and kept me upright at the moment.
"You really should stay home today," Dark muttered while trying to keep me balanced.
Itch stepped forward, "No, he can't!"
"Well, why not?" Mad Cry asked curiously.
"Because it will make it worse," Itch replied.
I watched as he circled Mad Cry, "Also," he continued. "You shouldn't play with knives."
My breath hitched. I glanced around to see if the others caught what he said. They seemed to not have noticed so I just ignored Itch's statement.
Itch frowned, grabbing Rot's hand and pulling him down the sidewalk. Everyone watched as he stormed off.
Lucius broke the silence, "Well that was interesting," He tried to laugh it off. Others tried to laugh off the awkwardness as well. All I could do was stare at the ground in fear.
(Time skip)
We all piled around a large table in the cafeteria. My stomach growled, basically begging for food. But I didn't deserve any food, not after the things I've done. I'm pretty sure the last time I ate was a week ago, and I all I ate was bread. Even that was too much.
Itch sat down across from me with a lunch tray. "You know what we should do?" He randomly spoke.
"Hmm," I replied.
"We should go to my house and play video games!" He yelled. Everyone faced him at once.
"Yes!" They all said at once. I kept my mouth shut.
I scratched the back of my neck avoiding eye contact. "I don't think I can come," I murmured.
Itch's eyes flashed, "Don't worry, they won't hurt you."
"They went to a 'friends house' they will be back in like 2 days," Itch continued. Ah, they're at a bar.
"I guess I can then," Everyone eyed Itch and me suspiciously.
"Cool you guys can meet up at my house tonight. Everyone can bring a different game to play if you want," Itch suggested.
"Alright," Everyone agreed.
Lucius ran up to the table excitedly. "Guys there are more new students!"
"Who?" Dark asked.
"I don't know yet, all I know is that they are coming later on."
I asked him, "Are they here yet?"
"No, they both start tomorrow morning,"
I just nodded in response. My fingers twiddled nervously in my lap. The others started to talk about the new students that were coming in the morning. I couldn't chime into the conversation, I was too afraid that I would spill everything.
