Crushing darkness swarmed around my mind. Seeping through my wild thoughts and drugged up consciousness. It bled into the negative thoughts that took over my worn down brain. I was trapped inside my mind. The negative thoughts taunted me, begging me to end it all.
Muffled voices faintly broke through the darkness. Not once were they audible enough that I could understand them. Eventually, the voices bled into each other. They sounded like a demented monster that chases you in your nightmares. As the demented voices continued my sanity slowly drained away.
(Time skip)
Horrible, taunting voices crept through my mind. I screaming into the darkness, begging for them to leave me alone. They only taunted me back. My cries for help echoed through my mind, banging on the walls that closed me in. All I could do was stand in the darkness and cry. Cry for help, cry for loss, cry for the dead. I was trapped alone, in this dark abyss and there is no one here to help me.
(Time skip)
My sanity gradually dripped away. As days went by I became more insane. No longer could I control the emotions that were bottled up inside. I laughed and cried, screamed and squealed. Nothing made any sense. My depression sunk through the walls, making everything a torturous adventure.
The demented voices stopped. Not once did I hear them again.
(Time skip)
The darkness consumed my mind till I could only sit and stare. It could've been days or months that I've been trapped. Every day the walls inched closer, crushing me in the small space I was confined in. I didn't try to fight against the darkness, I didn't scream or cry anymore. My eyes did try to flutter open, due to I wanted to see light again. But after my hundreds of attempts, not once did they open.
A lonely teenager lays on a dark mist that curls around the abyss. It snaked through the darkness and slithered up the teenagers' limbs. Only the sounds of pure pain echoed through the crevices. The noise bounced around, becoming a demonic laughter that taunted the teenager's mind. All the teenager could do was stare blankly while his mind crumbled in on itself.
How pathetic.
Horrible, mind-shattering thoughts echoed through my mind. Shattering any fight that I had left in me.
I tried once more to open my eyes with the little hope that was left. Nothing. Although, there was a flashing light off in the distance. It was the only light I've seen in who knows how long. Two figures started to be outlined in the flashing light as it slowly neared me. As they approached me, the thoughts in my head quieted.
"Hello," The female sang. She wore a bright smile, had flowing brown hair, and looked a lot like my mother.
As they became more recognizable, I started to back away. Here are the two monsters that have tortured me. "How are you guys here?"
"Well, your father and I went out for a drink a few nights ago. It just so happens that we drank way too much, more than we normally here. Your father died of alcohol poisoning, I choked to death," Mum spoke quietly. When she wasn't drunk and screaming, her voice sounded like an angel.
Father stepped closer to me, a sad look on his face. "Son, I've done a lot of bad things. I've treated you horrible over the timespan of your life. I want to say that I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry for everything that I've done to you. You are my son, and I love you dearly."
"I should have done something," Mum spoke up. "When you were getting beaten, I should've been a mother and protected you. Instead, I watched. That's not what a mother should do. I'm sorry Anti. I was a terrible mother, a very terrible mother. You deserve the world. Your father and I took that away from you. I'm sorry, I'm sorry for everything I've ever done to you. You don't have to forgive me or your father. We don't deserve your forgiveness. We don't deserve anything from you."
"I forgive you," I whispered. Mum smiled, she grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into a hug. Father gather both of us in his arm, hugging as with joy.
We pulled away from each other with teary smiles, "Honey, we have to go. But we want you to know that there are so many people waiting for you to wake up. They are all here for you, they always will be. We love you, darling." They gradually faded away in the darkness. They're bodies turning into the mist that curled around my feet.
When they completely vanished, I whispered, "I love you too."
