A Night to Remember

I brush out the knots in my soaking wet hair while standing in front of Rina's vanity mirror. I take my time brushing though my damp curls. The cold drops of water fall from my head as they drip down onto Rina's clean t-shirt that I'm currently wearing, leaving darkened wet spots all over the navy blue top.

My shower was longer than expected. My wounds were filled with dirt and starting to crust over uncomfortably, it really sucks having human skin right now. My werewolf immune system and my wolf typically do an almost perfect job of keeping wounds clear of infection. I had to properly clean them in the shower. I dressed them as soon as I got out, leaving my thigh bandaged and the back of my neck all patched up. I didn't realize all the damage that was done to my neck. All those teeth punctures really did a number on me and with my human skin it is going to take a while to heal. Luckily it doesn't hurt all that much.

I manage to get all the knots out of my wet hair. I reach out and place the brush on top of the bureau. I grab the towel off the counter and start towel drying my hair. That's when a knock sounds on the door.

"Lucia, are you in here?" Rina calls.

"Yup! I'm decent, come on in!" I shout back to her.

I hear the door click and open. I look through the mirror to see Rina walking in with a tray of food, followed by two unexpected guests: Greyson and Leo. Through the mirror, I make eye contact with two green orbs. In them is worry as Greyson scans over my features. I give him a genuine smile to which he responds with shock. I spin around.

"Hey guys, what brings you here?" I ask as my eyes instinctively glance over at the tray of food Rina is placing on her bed.

It is filled with the essentials for a depressed night, ice cream, chocolate and some types of candy. Thankfully, she also has a plate with spaghetti on the tray, which is good because I'm pretty hungry. Judging by all the junk food though, Rina is expecting me to be in a depressed mood, which honestly, I probably should be. Yet after thinking about it, I just can't feel negative about the situation anymore. I still have all my friends close to me, they are alive and well. Greyson and I have finally discussed everything and we understand the positions that we are in. I even get to skip out on a few missions before I can gain the Alpha's trust back.

"How are you feeling?" Rina asks me as she turns to me with sympathy in her eyes.

"Surprisingly I'm doing just fine," I tell her. I strut over to the laundry basket she has in her room and toss the towel I was holding into it.

"Fine?" She asks skeptically.

I nod my head, "I know, it sounds crazy but listen to me before you judge." She nods. "Everything that's changed is only temporary. It's not like I have to be a maid forever, I just need to wait for the Alpha to trust me again and I will be put back on the team. I can still practice with you guys, well secretly, I just can't do missions."

"But you're okay with that?"

"Okay with it... not really, but it could honestly have ended up a lot worse, you know? Plus the Alpha is allowing me to stay off maid duty until Raymond gets better, so I won't be starting that for a little while depending on how fast he heals." I strut over to the bed where Rina and the boys are, I glance down at the tray of snacks and unhealthy foods, "so what did you have in mind with all of this?"

She giggles, "well I figured you would be sad so I grabbed all the comfort food I could think of. Then I ran into Leo and Greyson and kind of told them what happened. They got worried too so we thought we could all watch a movie or something."

My eyes glance back up to hers, "what about Raymond? I told him I would go back and be with him."

"I figured you'd say that, so I talked to Ruben and Derek. Both were willing to stay in your place."
