3rd person:
When the twins turned 5, Lucia decided that she wanted a place of her own. Not that she didn't love the new pack and the bonds that she has built with everyone, she just knew it was getting close to the time when the Alpha would pass his title on to Greyson. Lucia wanted a space where she and the kids could escape from the eyes of everyone in the pack.
Greyson and Lucia went home shopping and in a matter of months, they owned a cute little home in the middle of... well no where. They had only a few neighbors, but besides that, their little neighborhood was quite stranded.
Lucia took the twins and Greyson to the new house. They pulled up in their black SUV. Lucia hopped out of the passenger side and opened the back door. Dawn was sitting there, she looked up at her mother with her deep green eyes. They were so strikingly identical to Greyson, it always made Lucia smile. The young girl was clearly nervous. She knew they were "moving" but wasn't exactly sure what that entailed. Lucia, sensing her nervousness, gets down to her level.
Lucia gave the young girl a stunning smile. One that was filled with comfort. She offered her hand to her young daughter and whisper some relaxing words. After a moment, Dawn grabbed her hand willingly and followed her mother out of the car. As soon as Dawn's feet hit the ground, she released the hand and grabbed Lucia's leg nervously. Greyson went around the other side of the vehicle, but was already headed towards the house with Liam. Lucia on the other hand, had another plan in mind.
When they had pulled up to their house, she saw their neighbor standing outside with a colicky young girl in her arms. Lucia and Greyson had met the woman, Missy, when they were looking into purchasing the house. She was a decent amount older than Lucia and Greyson. She had her brownish-grey hair pulled up into a tight, grandma-style bun. The woman was slightly plump and her cheeks seemed to radiate with an ever-existing smile. She was a very kind older woman, who fosters two young children... well, did foster, she had apparently adopted both children at some point in her fostering.
After introductions and allowing Dawn to play with the neighbors son, Lucia and Dawn joined Greyson and Liam in their new house.
It was two stories, yellow with a tiny white fence in the front yard. They only had that one neighbor who was super close, the others were somewhat far away in the neighborhood. It really didn't take them long to turn that small place into their home. The twins shared a bedroom on the first floor, as they hated to be separate. They made the other bedroom on the ground floor a guest room, then they made the upstairs their sanctuary. Greyson made a small nook, he called it an office but Lucia laughed at that since it was so small. It was a place where he could do some paper work that his Dad would often give him regarding pack house matters. Lucia was able to build her dream home, including her dream bedroom. Of course she had a few helpful inputs from Greyson along the way.
Everything was... well, perfect. At least in Lucia's eyes.
So of course she wasn't expecting anything out of the norm to happen on that cloudy day. A cold breeze blew as the sun hid away from the days activities. Lucia was planning on taking the twins with her to go to the pack house. Greyson had stayed the night, helping his Alpha parents with some miscellaneous activity that had had them busy for the past month or so. She was feeding the five-year olds breakfast, unsuccessfully may I add, when Greyson walked through the front door of their quaint home. The kids screeched in happiness and dashed towards their large father. He scooped them both up into his arms, gave each a kiss on the cheek and returned them to the floor. They were laughing and giggling in happiness, tugging on his pants, wanting to be picked up again. He had his mind on other things, like greeting his beautiful mate who was covered in waffle bits and sticky from syrup that the kids had tossed around.
