"Guys I said put the vehicle hitch inside the car, not next to it!" My voice laced with annoyance as I shout at the boys run around the garage loading the car.

"Sorry Lucia," Derek apologizes as he walks past me carrying a bag of technological items, "I got distracted with some tech problems. The ear pieces are starting to defect."

I nod, "It's cool, fix that and I will take care of the hitch."

I grab the giant metal object and lift it up with ease. A perk of being a werewolf is the strength that comes with it. I quickly hop into the car through the side door and place the hitch towards the double doors at the back end of the van. I turn briskly on my heels. As I'm about to exit and hop back to the ground out through the side door, someone pops out in front of me. I jump back startled.

"Hey Lucia." Rina appears with a smile.

I hold onto my pounding heart, "Jesus Rina. Next time try not to scare the living shit out of me."

She giggles as I step down from the van. We walk over to the weapon rack together and I scan through my choices. I don't know if we will need anything, but since we are going up against hunters I can't take the chances of being unarmed.

"Soo, I was wondering if maybe I could come with you guys today...?" She asks me timidly.

I grunt, clearly unsatisfied with the request. I proceed to pull out a hand gun, examining it, "Rina I told you, this mission is just too dangerous. I've never faced hunters in a situation like this. We don't even know if the people driving the truck are humans or hunters."

"Well I figured I would be able to hop onto the hunter's truck with you and Leo to grab their weapon shipment and-"

"Who told you that?" I ask, shocked that she knows so much of the plan.

"Leo did... last night..." I sigh in disappointment and she quickly tries to defend him, "Please don't be mad! I was curious and asked him about it. I kept pushing so he ended up telling me some details. Plus, I figured you two would be the ones designated to go on their truck because you are both the lightest and I figured since I'm light too I could be a big help!"

I frown, "What did Leo think about this little plan of yours?"

She sighs and faces the weapon rack, "I didn't particularly tell him my plan."

"Because you know he wouldn't approve either." I watch her face fall so I continue in a lighter tone, "Rina, I know you want to help but I really can't put you in this kind of danger." I test the weight of the gun in my hand, holding it out in front of me. Hm, seems good.

"But Lucia I don't want to just sit behind!" She whines.

I shake my head, "I'm sorry Rina but not this time. I really don't want to risk it."

She groans, "Seriously? You're going to leave me here?"

"Yes Rina, it's what's best for you and the team. One small mistake, on anyone's part, could blow up the whole plan. I don't even want Leo and Greyson coming but Damien is set on Leo hopping in the truck with me because he is the lightest in the group besides me and Derek, even though he is probably only lighter by a few pounds."

I tuck the gun in to the back of my jeans and flop my shirt over it. I swipe my pocket tool from the table and shove it into my boot.

"Fine, I will stay behind but I'm sure as hell not happy about it." She glares angrily at me.

"I'm sorry Rina but this is what's best."

Rina turns quickly and walks away. I can tell she is pissed but there isn't anything I can do if I want her to be safe. I sigh.
