"Holy crap." Rina says through her deep panting, "You guys... do this... daily?"

I laugh, tucking a loose strand of hair back into my ponytail. "I wouldn't say daily, but we certainly train a lot. On the days we aren't training, we usually have a mission to go on."

"Oh god, I hope you don't run like this on missions, I will never be able to survive." She says kneeling on the ground.

She is sitting there holding herself up by her knees while panting hard. I'm leaning on a tree next to her, waiting for the rest of the guys to get back from the run. Since it is her first time, I took her on a shorter path. As one can see, she is practically dying from just that.

Barks sound from the woods, causing me to quickly turn in the direction of the noise. A dark brown wolf sprints across the tree line, quickly followed by two blonde wolves. The brown wolf skids to a stop, turning to face his followers. He stands proudly as the other two slow down, shaking their heads in disappointment.

A moment passes and a lighter brown wolf races through. He slows down and stands next to the dark brown wolf, slightly panting.

Well, looks like we are only missing one person.

"Where is Derek?" I ask.

The wolves turn my way and I smile as the all try to shrug. They look so funny. I hear a giggle to my left. Looking down, I notice Rina laughing at the boys. I join her for a moment and we hear grunts and sighs coming from the boys.

"Go change and we will wait for him to start the last part of training." I demand, still slightly laughing from their weirdness.

Following my orders, the wolves file behind the trees, dispersing to their designated spots where they left their clothes. It seems Greyson is doing great with the training and Leo is as well.

Derek has never been a fast one or a strong one, but he sure as hell has brains. We don't make him train with us all the time, considering he has a bunch of other things to attend to. It's not like he ever does anything physical anyway, since the Alpha is constantly putting his head to work.

A second later, a red, gray, and white wolf staggers into the back yard. He collapses into a heap on the floor, panting dramatically. I smirk at him. Poor guy.

"Welcome back Derek." I say casually, still against the tree.

He doesn't move his head but instead chooses to glare at me with his eyes. He acts like it's my fault this run is difficult for him! Blame your genes man!

"Everyone is changing. Hurry up and join them." I add, nodding toward the woods.

He lets out a wolfish whimper but shakily rises to his feet. He slowly makes his way to his changing area in the woods.

"Aww, poor Derek. Maybe he should have taken the shorter route with us?" Rina suggests just a little too late.

I shrug, "I don't know. Derek has been doing this for a while now. Although he isn't very fast or strong, he doesn't train with us often. I figure, when he does train, we should push him to his limits."

Rina slowly stands from the ground, her knees muddy with a couple of grass blades on each leg. She brushes them off.

"I guess you're right. Do you think I will ever be able to keep up with the rest of the squad?" She asks timidly.

"Of course," I look out toward the woods, "you did great on your first day. I made sure to push you to your limits and you never stopped once. You have a lot of potential. Plus you are small so you're agility will be good later on."
