Chapter Three

About ten minutes later we pulled up in front of a house with loud music blaring and people pouring into the front yard. I think she could tell I was nervous; she grabbed my shoulder and gave it a light squeeze. "Trust me, it isn't as intense as it seems." Before I could reply she was out of the car and tugged my door open. "Let's roll, bitch!" She grinned pulling me out of the car. She locked her arm with mine and we headed towards the eye of the party. She spoke to people in passing, everyone seemed to know her. Once inside she led me to the kitchen and her expression changes to a more serious one. "Now here is the number one rule." She said, eyeing me. "Do NOT take drinks from anyone but me, my brother or Alex." She said, watching me carefully as she spoke over the music. "Okay...but why?" I asked, slightly confused by her request. "See...as much as the guys try to keep things under control... the last party someone slipped some stuff in a few girls' drinks. So you need to be careful, got it?" She placed a drink in my hand before I could answer and pulled me into the back yard. Alex ran over to her, pulling her away from me and into a deep kiss. "Missed you." He groaned against her lips. "Alex are you already trashed?" She asked and started arguing with him. I eased away from her so they could have a little more privacy; sipping on the concoction in my cup I began to move around the back yard taking it all in. That is when I saw him. He was like a tattooed Greek God. My mouth went dry and I couldn't take my eyes off him. He was standing beside Trenton, Lacy's brother.

"Ah I see you've spotted good ol' Liam." Lacy whispered into my ear. "SHIT!" I yelled, jumping and almost falling over. My heart was pounding in my chest and all Lacy could do was laugh. "Are you trying to kill me or what?" I asked, taking a deep breath. "Listen, I know he's good looking but trust me babe, he's a hit it and quit it kinda guy. Unless that's what you're going for then by all means, go for it. I don't judge. Besides, from what Alex and all the girls hes thrown to the curb, he gives quite the show." She laughed taking a drink from her cup and wagged her brows at me. My cheeks were on fire again, I was definitely not looking for someone to 'hit it and quit it' but looking wouldn't hurt right? "I was just looking around...not sure what you're are talking about..." I lied, looking around the party again. She rolled her eyes and locked arms with me again before pulling me to the group of guys by the bonfire.

"Hey little sister." Trenton called as he tossed his empty beer can over his shoulder. He definitely seemed like he was in a better mood than the last time I saw him. "...and Sam, right?" He motioned towards me. I felt my face burn when Liam glanced my way, a smirk curling over his perfect lips. God, those lips. "Hey Lace! Who's your little friend?" Liam called as he draped his arm over my shoulder. I swallowed hard at the lump forming in my throat. He was even sexier up close; his green eyes were all over me. "NOPE!" Alex yelled pulling Liam off of me. "No way man...the last time you fucked one of her friends she about killed me. That girl still hasn't talked to Lacy..." I suddenly spit my drink all over the place; did he really just say that out loud? Liam busted out laughing and reached over brushing the drips off my chin. "I'm not going to fuck her...Just trying to say hi is all." He shrugged putting his hands up in front of him as if he were innocent. I wiped my mouth with my sleeve, if I wasn't embarrassed before I sure was now. Lacy pulled me back to her body, glaring at Liam. "Yeah, Liam, the last time you boned one of my roomies she moved out and left me with the whole rent!" What was happening? Were they really talking about this? Could they even see that I was standing there? "Hey it isn't my fault...She knew what she was getting into..." He grabbed another beer out of one of the coolers and took a big drink. "No worries guys...I don't think we have to worry about him boning me..." I mumbled, chugging the rest of my drink. I felt his eyes burning holes in my body again. "Is that so?" he asked, licking his bottom lip slowly. Before I could answer a thin blonde hung herself on Liam's arm. "Hey baby..." She squeaked. Her high pitched voice made my skin crawl. Lacy rolled her eyes and pulled me away. She mimicked a barfing sound as she pulled me onto a bench along the patio. "That is Bianca...she makes me want to barf." She gagged again. That was his type of girl, I wasn't sure if I was disappointed or relieved by that. At least I didn't have to worry about becoming the flavor of the week; not that I would anyways.

Lacy and I hung out all night, I hadn't had this much fun in a long time. "Sam... I am going to go up to Alex's room for a bit..." She winked at me. "Don't go anywhere...and remember the drink rule! If you need a drink ask Trenton or Liam, they will make sure you get a clean drink." With that she was off, giggling as she followed Alex into the house. I was definitely feeling the buzz but why not have one more drink while I waited for Lacy, it isn't like I had anything else to do. As I stood up I could feel myself sway slightly. Walking slowly I made my way back to the bonfire to find Trenton. He was lounging in the grass with a group of people. "Hey Trentonnn..." I slurred with a big smile. "Lace said to ask you to help me with the drink s'itch." I laughed at myself, swaying in my spot. The guys chuckled at me swaying back and forth. "Yeah I got you." He laughed, handing me another beer. "Thank you, sir!" I turned and headed back for my seat; suddenly I felt fingers wrapped tightly around my wrist, I flung myself around and was now face to face with Liam. "What do you want?" I almost yelled as I struggled to get my beer open. "I think you've had enough..." He laughed pulling the beer out of my hand. "You don't know what I need!" I spat, grabbing the beer back and opening it. "Oh I don't?" He leaned in, his voice deep and rough as he looked into my eyes. My whole body was tingling; was this the alcohol or was it him? He winked and let go of my wrist, my arm dropping limp to the side of my body. "You....just...GAH!" I threw my free hand in the air and quickly headed inside the house. What the actual hell!?

Weaving my way through the people I quickly drank my beer. There were people making out on the sofa and grinding against each other on the dance floor. It was like everyone was in their own little world. The music was pulsing in my ears. My whole body felt heavy. Suddenly I felt hands slide around my waist, pulling me against their body. I felt bile rise in my throat as panic creeped over me. I tried to pull away by their arms tightened around me, grinding harder against my backside. "Let go!" I yelled trying to pry their hands away from me. It was no use their fingers dug into my skin. My heart was racing, I felt so sick, then suddenly I felt the hands ripped away from my body. I turned around just in time to see Liam repeatedly punching a guy with sandy blonde hair in the face. The room started to spin and then everything went black.
