When Patrick and I got home, Kelly and her friends were waiting for us.

"Hey," Macy said, coming over to hug me. I reluctantly hugged her back. "Did you miss me?"

"Sure," I answered. To be honest, I didn't even think of Macy while I was gone. I thought about Christine nearly the whole time.

Macy gave me a concerned look.

I pulled out my phone.

Jonathan:

I just got home. How about we go skating tonight?

"Where's Patrick?" Cara asked me.

"She has a major crush on him," Kelly said. Cara's face turned bright red.

"He's grabbing the gear bags cause he lost a bet," I explained.

Christine:

Sure, I'm off work. When are you gonna pick me up?

"I do like him," Cara said, looking up at me. "I'm working on it though, so can you please not say anything?"

I nodded. "I won't."

Macy looked up at me.

"We should go out tonight," she suggested. I shook my head.

"I can't," I told her.

Jonathan:

I'll pick you up in an hour. Apartment 5D?

Christine:

Correct :)

"Why not?" Macy asked me with a frown.

"I already have plans made," I told her. "I need to go shower." She tried to kiss my cheek but I walked away from her.

I got nervous as I stood in front of Christine's door. I shook my head. There was no reason for me to be nervous. Well, there kind of was. I reached up and knocked on the door. I heard shuffling and the door opened.

Christine's hair was wavy, and she didn't have tons of makeup on, just some eyeliner and the same lipgloss she wore the other day. She had on a brown wool sweater and a white scarf with dark blue jeans and boots.

"You look nice," I told her. She grinned.

"Thank you," she answered. "You don't look so bad yourself." I laughed.

"Ready?"

"To bust my ass? Yes," she answered. I chuckled. She smiled and said bye to her roommate and closed the door behind her. "So how did your games go?"

"We won both," I answered.

"What should I do with my shoes?" she asked me.

"I'll take them," I told her. When I took her boots, my fingers brushed up against hers. I looked up, nervous of her reaction. She was smiling. I helped her tie her skates and she stood up. She quickly lost her balance and nearly fell.

I reached out my arms and caught her. She was laughed so hard I thought she would stop breathing.

"Thank you," she replied, using my arms to steady herself. She began to walk again, and this time I kept my hands on her elbows to steady her. She stepped out onto the ice and I kept a hold of her arms. She stumbled and I let go of her only to skate in front of her. I turned around so I could skate backwards.
