I'm truly sorry the past two chapters! They're definitely not my best work but things have gotten super busy and they won't be settling down for a while. I promise this chapter will be a lot better!

As Jonathan and I walked towards the box together, my phone buzzed.
Trent: I'm coming to Chicago in two weeks!
I glanced over at Jonathan and back down at my phone. He pressed a button on the elevator that would take us up to the box.
"Jonathan?" I asked quietly. He looked over to me.
"What's up?" he asked me, his eyebrows furrowing.
"I know we just had an argument about this, but Trent is coming to Chicago," I trailed off, looking at the floor.
"Chris," he said. I made myself look at him. "I know he's your friend, and I was way out of line. That would be like you telling me I couldn't hang out Pat's sister. It wasn't fair."
I smiled.
"I'm sorry too," I replied. "I probably should've told you about him."
"No, this is in no way your fault," he told me, scuffing his shoe against the floor.
"Can this not be awkward?" I blurted out.
"What?"
"This," I said, gesturing to me and him, "I don't want this to be awkward just because we argued."
"I can't help it," he said defensively. I sighed and crossed my arms over my chest.
"Jon, I'm not arguing right now," I said. He sighed as well.
"I don't know, I never know what to do after fights," he trailed off. I tilted my head to the side.
"I'll tell you. You fight, you scream, you let it all out. Then, you apologize. No flowers, no chocolate, no fancy dinners, just words. That's all she wants to hear. If things are awkward, you kiss her," I said as I raised my eyebrow. He grinned and put his hands on my cheeks.
"Like this?" he asked as he leaned towards me. His lips pressed against mine, a slow, steady kiss.
"Just like that," I replied quietly, bringing his lips back to mine. I felt him smile and moved his hands so they circled my waist. The elevator doors dinged and he pulled away, straightening his tie with a smirk on his face.
A few days later, it was New Year's Eve. Patrick threw a party at his house and it was actually pretty low key. Most of the Blackhawks guys were there, including their girlfriends and wives. Jonathan had disappeared into the crowd earlier. I stood with Chaun, Dayna, and Amanda B, sipping on some apparently very expensive wine.
"I'm assuming you and Jon made up?" Chaun laughed, taking a drink.
"Of course we made up," I replied with a smile.
"It's not a good make up unless there's good make up sex," Dayna added, tilting her glass towards me. I felt my face turn red.
"We haven't had sex yet," I admitted. "Does a good make up make out session work?"
Dayna pretend stroked her pretend beard.
"I guess it does," she said eventually with a laugh. I playfully rolled my eyes and took another sip. I spotted Jonathan across the room, talking to one of his teammates. Looked like a rookie.
"You should go over there," Dayna suggested.
"Nah, he's busy," I shrugged.
"Talking, when he could be getting busy with you," Chaun told me.
