I stood at the nursing station, waiting for Jonathan. The elevator dinged and he stepped out of it. He put his hands up as he walked towards me.
"Please don't me mad," he said. I gave him a confused look. "We have a big game tonight and there was a miscommunication and I have practice in ten minutes."
"Hey, don't worry about it, I understand," I told him. I really did. Work gets crazy sometimes.
"God, you're amazing," he sighed. He put his hands on my arms and kissed my forehead. "Also, I have a quick surprise."
He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a ticket. It had the Blackhawks logo on it.
"What's this for?" I asked as he handed it to me.
"I want you to come to our game tonight," he said. His cheeks turned pink. Was he blushing?
"I'd love to come," I answered.
"Great. You have a seat up in the suites where the guys' girlfriends and friends and families sit," he explained. "I'll even give you a ride home."
"Sounds good," I replied.
"I'll text you on how to get down in the tunnels to wait for me and stuff!" he said as he began to walk away.
"Okay, see you tonight," I told him. He smiled before stepping in the elevator.
"Christine, was that Jonathan Toews? As in Jonathan Toews who plays for the Blackhawks?" Ashley asked me. I smiled.
"Yeah," I answered.
"Jesus, you're so lucky, he's H-O-T hot," she said with a smirk. I wanted to punch her.

I found my seat in the suite and sat down. It was really nice. They had a bar in the back and a snack table off to the side. There were TVs hung up that were showing the broadcast of the Blackhawks game and others.
Three blonde girls walked past my seat and sat next to me. I noticed the one right next to me, Macy. The slut who was sending Jonathan those pictures. Perfect.
"Oh, hey," Macy said fake excitedly, turning to look at me. Shit.
"Hey," I replied.
"So how are things between you and my ex?" she asked me. I rolled my eyes.
"Does it matter?"
"Well I mean, has he kissed you yet?"
"Why do you care?" I asked her. "As far as I know, we're only friends."
"Friends don't kiss cheeks," another girl pointed out.
"Sure they do," I said with a shrug,
"Whatever, whore," Macy sighed.
"Oh, between the two of us, I'm definitely not the whore here," I snapped. Macy brought her hand to her mouth like she was offended.
Her friends snickered. I unlocked my phone and saw my wallpaper of Jonathan and me. I clicked on my messages and re read the instructions Jonathan gave me.
Jonathan:
When the game's over, just wait a little while and then go down to the lobby. There are some doors in the back behind the merch table and there have security and blah blah blah. Just go up and show them your ticket and they'll let you back. Take a left and walk until you see the room with the double doors with the Blackhawks logo on it. Then just wait for me :). Have fun.
