The dream. I was experiencing it right now. I was parading around the stage, messing with my fans while singing the chorus of beauty and the beat. Fans were screaming my name and just as the rapping part occurred, the lights flicked off. The music went dead and chaos ensued.
Kenny and Scooter rushed out onto the stage and streamed into the audience, trying to calm the teenage girls screaming.
An uneasiness settled on my and I inhaled a sharp breath. Icy, cold breath hit my neck and nearly fainted. My head was tilted forcefully to the side and razors grinded on my neck.
I collapsed. I couldn't scream, I couldn't talk, I couldn't even whisper. Warm stickiness surrounded my head and my vision faded. A burning sensation built in my blood and I found the ability to scream. Screams rolled out of my mouth until I could no longer hear myself screaming desperately. My vision turned black and I had just died.
I jolted awake from the dream. Tears rushed down my cheeks and I was encased in sweat, presumably the warm, stickiness I felt in my sleep.
Just a dream, I told myself. Just a dream. Not really.
I swung my legs over my bed and went to my bathroom. I splashed some water on my face and ruffled my hands in my hair. The silvery scar on the left of my neck caught my attention. The bite mark. The place where I was cruelly bitten by 'Creator'. The person that transformed me into a vampire. The rule was, 'half vampires', the people who weren't born as a vampire, couldn't transform others. It was physically impossible. I didn't have the venom needed. And believe it or not, that comforted me. I knew that I couldn't ruin someone's life because of my hunger. Immortality sucked.
I combed my hair into my signature style and quickly did the morning routine. I pulled on some supras, a SnapBack, a baggy hoodie, and some saggy jeans.
I left my little home and started towards my work. I internally switched off my indoors vision and switched on my night vision. There were only two vampire visions. Indoor, night. Since going outside in the daylight for vampires was suicide, we were programmed with only two visions. I strolled along in the dark with all the other people going to work.
I worked at Blode Enterprise. Today was my last day, because tomorrow I turned 18. When your 18, the king assigns you to a human. You had to lead them a place and take advantage of them. But no matter what, you couldn't transform them. No problem. Anyways, I was a blood purifier. It required restraint and I was fine with it, considering I despised the diet I had to follow unless I wanted to die.
The doors swung open for me and I strolled in, involuntarily switching back to my indoor vision.
"Hello, Mr. Bieber." Mellie, the receptionist flirted. "Or should I say Justin?"
Mellie was always flirting with me. She insisted we date but it felt wrong. She wasn't my mate. The person I felt fireworks with. The person that I would love forever. The person that I was deeply in love with and couldn't imagine leaving.
"You can call me Justin." I smiled politely. I pushed past the heavy metal doors into the lab. The cold greeted my cold skin and I walked to my section of the lab.
"Hey, J." Trenton, my co-worker, greeted me.
  "Hey, Trent."
"Tomorrow's the big day, eh? March the first, the day where you get to fool around with a human." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"I'm not some kind of lowlife pervert. I will not do that to a helpless human. Besides, I'm not getting a girl. I specifically asked them not to give me one." I snapped.
"I know, man. I was joking."
  "I'm not laughing."
  "So, anyways, I was thinking,"
"That's not good," I joked, lightning the mood.
Trenton smirked at me. "I was thinking, we should run away. You know, two turned vamps escaping. I don't like the rules as much as you do so we should just run."
"Are you kidding me?" I jumped up.  "You can't say that in public." I pointed to each camera positioned in the corners of the room.
Trenton scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah. I guess so."
The rest of the day was in eventful and I was glad to get home.
I trudged back home and collapsed once I got inside.
I went to bed and layed there the whole night, dreading tomorrow.
