Chapter 6

    Wynter's POV

I missed Justin. My master. Who would've thought I would ever say that? Not me.

Alice went back to her room to get changed and she handed me a pair of pajamas. I had changed and was now sitting stiffly on her couch. It was quiet except for a poor man that was talking in a box. I had panicked, trying to get him out but Alice told me the guy wasn't really in there and it was something called a 'TV'? I didn't really get it and was still eyeing it warily. Debating if I should attempt to get him out. Before I could think anymore, Alice appeared in front of me.

  I shrieked, jumping up.

  "Vampire speed." She smiled proudly.

"I could never imagine being a vampire." I muttered to myself.

"I couldn't either. At first." I snapped my head towards Alice. "Vampire hearing." She said just as proudly.

  "Oh. What happened?"

"I got turned. By my own boyfriend."

  I raised a brow.

"Yeah. I know. I was dating a fucking vampire and I didn't even know it."

  "Oh." I asked.

  "Yeah..."

  "Oh."

"Yeah. Do you want to watch a movie? We could eat popcorn."

  "What's popcorn?"

"You haven't lived!" She jumped up and went to her kitchen. "Wynter!" She called from the kitchen.

  "Yes?"

"I promised Justin you would call him. The phone is on the counter!"

Phone? What's a phone? I went to the counter and the only think I saw was a slim, boxy looking thing. Before I could ask Alice for help, the thing started buzzing in my hands. I dropped it on accident and quickly picked it up. There was a picture of Justin on the boxy thing. Was he trapped in there?! I tapped his face and held it to close.

  "Justin!"

  "Hey, Wynter."

I held the thing to my ear and said, "ARE YOU TRAPPED IN HERE??!!???"

"No, it'd just my voice, traveling over a phone line. Anyways, I wanted to call you before you went to sleep."

"Why didn't you just come over?"

"I'm out hunting." My bloods ran cold at that. "Just animals." He added.

I nodded, wondering if he saw that.

  "Are you there?" He asked.

  "Yeah."

  "Are you having fun?"

  "Yeah. Alice is nice."

  "Good. See you tomorrow. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Justin." I grinned,  hanging up and setting the phone thingy down. I galloped back to the couch just as Alice came out, a delicious smell wafting behind her.

  Justin's POV

I was in the middle of the forest, hunting so I wouldn't get thoughts about feeding off of Wynter. I jumped up into the nearest tree and waited silently for an animal. I saw movement out of the corner off my eye and jumped towards it.

I caught a squirrel and sunk my fangs into it. When I was done I threw the carcass to the ground and started to go home. But before I could leave, I heard a voice that chilled me.

  "Well done, Justin."
