I went inside and got my weapons, and we both followed the scent.
The scent went into the forest to Sam's house. I got confused, what possibly could a vampire possibly want with Sam.
I then saw that he had lost the scent, I then asked "You can't smell the scent anymore", "No I don't smell, you do?", I nodded
We entered Sam's house and he asked cautiously, "What are you guys doing here?"
"You seriously don't smell it?", I asked
"No, smell what?", Sam asked
"Of course you don't smell it, it must have been able to cover up its scent with a stele", I answered
"But how only a shadowhunter can hold a stele.", I said to Paul
"Can't a shadowhunter help a vampire?", he asked
"No vampires and shadowhunters are born enemies, there was only one man that had the strange mind to help a vampire, but I killed him," I said
"Can't you uncover the scent with your stele?", Paul asked. I nodded and started uncovering the trail. I got confused it lead to Sam's bedroom.
"Why do I suddenly smell leech?", asked Sam
"Because a vampire came here and was apparently able to cover his trail and it leads to your room.", I said.
"What?", Sam yelled
"But the thing is that the trail stops in the middle of your room. A warlock must have been in here too.", I said
"Who's your best tracker? I want to give him something.", I said
"Jacob and that reminds me, shall we go to his house and wake him up", Sam said
"Yeah sure", the boys said and I decided to tag along

We walked out of the woods and I looked through his window and saw a girl.
"Who's the girl?", I asked Paul since he was next to me.
"Bella, the one he's always complaining to Sam about", Paul said. Bella then came outside and yelled, "What'd you do to him?", we didn't answer.
She asked again, "Hey, what'd you do", but pushed Sam this time.
Paul then decided to chime in, "What did we do? What'd he tell you?", he asked angrily and quickly.
"Calm down Paul", I said
"Nothing, nothing because he's scared of you.", she said. Paul and Jared started laughing. Bella then looked mad and slapped Paul. He then started shaking and shaking more violently every second.
"Paul calm down.", I kept saying.
"Bella get back", Sam warned. He then phased. After 5 seconds, Jacob came out and yelled, "Bella". Bella then kept warning him to run but he didn't and phased over her. Paul and he then started fighting. They then started fighting into the forest.
"Take Bella back to Emily's, we'll meet you there.", Sam said. He then phased, and I ran until we found them. I just waited until Sam was finally able to split them up. They then phased.
"Finally, you guys are so immature", I said and ruffled Jacob's hair since we are about the same height.
"Hahaha, Jake's small", Paul laughed as we arrived at Emily's house. As we entered, I saw Emily and smiled at her.
"Muffin?", Emily asked
"I would love one, but I must not eat before my long run.", I said
"What run", she asked
"Can we come", Embry asked
"No", I said and turned on my heel
"Where are you going", asked Sam
"I am going to go get Jacob's upgrade if I find it or him", I said
"The only thing that you need to know is to keep an eye out suspicious activity, and keep your imprint close", I said
"You can tell Bella all about me if you'd like", I said and left
I told my mom about the upgrade for Jacob and how we might need to find the vampire. She agreed and called Andrew over to discuss things while I reported this to headquarters.
When I got there I bumped into Alec.
"Alec, how's life treating you?", I asked
"Could be better", he answered. I just chuckled.
"Don't worry, it will get better over time", I said
"What are you doing here?", he asked.
"I am here because something is happening in Forks", I answered.
"I'll gather up the team", he answered
"I'll tell the council", I said and we went our separate ways. When he came back he came with a teenage girl who I haven't met and asked, "Who's she", I asked
"This is Clary Fray, she is new and her father is Valentine, but we still haven't found him.", Jace answered
"Wait, I thought Valentine was dead", I said
"Well apparently he isn't", Isabelle said
"Of course, now I get it. There were was the scent of a vampire at my house and Sam's house, but they couldn't smell it and it was because of some shadowhunter that probably helped him. But only shadowhunters can touch it, and I guess it is Valentine helping them.", I said
"We have to go", Alec answered
"No way, you all agreed to help me find my mother, there is no way I am going across the country to not find my mother.", Clary said
"Clary, if Valentine is making appearances over there, there is a possibility that it might give us more answers of where your mother is.", Jace said
"Will you be taking the mundane with you?", I asked
"Yes, yes we will", Clary said almost immediately.
