I then took them to my house and they got their stuff. They were leaving today.
"Make sure to tell me any news about Valentine", I told Alec. He nodded.
They then left. I decided to go see how Jacob was. I ran there. I couldn't stop thinking that I was the monster.
When I got there Bella was just arriving. She made sure to keep her distance I could tell. Carlisle then came out and told Bella that Jake is asking for her. He then nodded at Sam and Billy. I was at the end so I grabbed a hold of Carlisle's arm, "Are you and the rest okay with what I did back at the battle?", I asked
"We're okay with it, even if you didn't do it the Volturi would have done it. But why did you do it?", he asked
"Back in the day, shadowhunters and the Volturi had a fight, and well shadowhunters lost and the Volturi gained control over the shadow world", I said, Carlisle nodded and left. I just stood there for a while.
Paul then joined my side, "You okay"
"I killed her", I said sadly
"You what", he said calmly
"It was my decision whether she would die or not, and I decided to kill her", I said and let a tear escape my eye but quickly wiped it away. As Sam walked by, he noticed that I was crying a bit but didn't say anything.
"Would it be okay if I walk you home? We can talk about this while we walk.", he said and asked
"Yes, I'd like that", I said. We started walking away and he asked, "So what happened?"
"Well, Jane said that I would take care of her. I could tell that she was testing me on how I am at being a leader. So I forced Jace to kill her.", I said. I then started sobbing a bit. We stopped walking and he hugged me. I hugged back and sobbed. We stayed like that for half a minute. We then started walking again.
"But still, why did you feel like that?", he asked
"20 years after Aro was turned, the shadowhunters and the Volturi had a war. The Volturi won and gained control over the shadow world. The Volturi gets to boss us around.", I said
"Even to leaders?", he asked
"Even to leaders", I said as I nodded my head. We stayed quiet for a bit.
"Has anyone disobeyed them?", he asked
"Someone has wanted to disobey them, but the leader was also his friend. So the leader told him what he had to do, he did it, but it was the last day of their friendship.", I said
"So, how do you know Luke?", he asked
"He was one of my dad's friends", I said
"Sam seemed a bit interested in him. Can you tell about him?", he said
"He used to be a shadowhunter, but he was betrayed one night and was turned into a werewolf, not a shapeshifter, but a werewolf.", I said
"How was he betrayed?", he asked
"In the shadow world, there is this bond between shadowhunters, it makes them parabatai, that's what the bond is called. He had the bond with his friend Valentine. Valentine was married. But he was becoming mad. Luke and her then slowly started becoming in love. For revenge, Valentine and Luke went on a mission, they had to take care of some werewolves. Valentine told Luke to go first. Luke did go first, but Valentine closed the door and walked away from Luke's screams. That was the night the parabatai was broken, Luke stopped being a shadowhunter, and was then a werewolf.", I told him the story. By the time I finished, we were at my house.
"Thank you for walking me home", I said and entered my house. I went straight to my room.
