Chapter Sixteen

I woke up to shaking. I groaned. I then felt a cold liquid all over me. I then jolted awake and saw Clary.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR", I asked

"You said that you would give me a training lesson for the fight", she said

"Fine I'll get up", I said getting up

"Finally", she said. I then changed.

I went to the kitchen to where I knew Clary would be. I saw her there waiting. She had all of the weapons.

"Let's go", I said

"Kay", she said. When we entered the woods we went to the clearing. We practiced with the sword, bow and arrow, stele, and knives. Then a werewolf appeared in the trees. It looked like the alpha. But there was no pack. But this wolf looked familiar. I then recognized who it was.

"Phase back", I yelled. Once it phased back I saw it was Luke.

"Luke, thank goodness you're here. I need an upgrade for the beta here.", I said

"Wait, you know him?", Clary asked

"Yes, he was one my dad's friends", I said.

"Wait what time is it?", I asked

"Oh shoot, we forgot", Clary said

"Calm down, we still have five minutes to get there", I said

"Come on Luke, you're coming too", I said dragging him. We were close to where we were supposed to be.

"Wait, I want to phase first", Luke said

"Then hurry up", I said. Then he phased.

"Let's go", we then entered and waited for the pack to come. All the shadowhunters and Cullens including Bella were there. Andrew along with my mother was there too. Then the pack came.

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms", Edward said

"They came, that's what matters", Carlisle said

"Can you translate?", Carlisle asked

"Welcome, Jasper has experience with newborns, he'll teach us how to defeat them", Carlisle said. Jace scoffed and I elbowed him.

"Ouch", he whispered

"Oh, shut it", I whispered back

"They want to know how newborns are different than us", Edward said

"They're a great deal stronger than us, cause their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than our first several months of this life.", Carlisle said and turned around and nodded to Jasper.

"Carlisle is right, that's why they are created. A newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army, but no human army can stand against them. Now the two most important things to remember are first, never let their arms around you, they'll crush you instantly and second, never go for the obvious kill, they'll be expecting that, and you will lose.", Jasper said

"Emmet", Jasper said

"Don't hold back", Jasper said

"Not in my ages", said Emmet, and they started fighting. Honestly got bored. Jasper had taken him down.

"Never lose focus", he said. Next was Carlisle and Edward. Carlisle nodded and Edward charged at him. Edward had taken him down thinking he had won.

"One more thing", as Jasper said this, Carlisle snuck up behind Edward and won. It reminded me of my brother doing sneak attacks on anyone who was in the house.
