"I'm really glad you're back," came Commander Carbine's hushed, loving tones as she led her familiar down to the lower levels of their secret base. The fortress had been literally carved out from under the mountain, so it held a very strategic post. The only signals that could get through were their own as they managed to find a way to bypass the static interference caused by the electricity naturally found in the air.

The air in these tunnels, carried a musky earthy fragrance, and even though clean fresh air was consistently being filtered in and out of the building, it still didn't match the fragrance of the air outside these metal walls. Stale air currents were enough to cause even the freest of spirits to feel claustrophobic.

Feeling his gut twist at Carbine's words, Throttle couldn't help but feel like it was flash-back central. It had only been but a month since he'd last been there locked up in a cell. Him and his bros had actually managed to bring back Limburger for trial- but had somehow wound up being labeled accomplices. He couldn't help but feel that something big was waiting for him this time around though.

Wanting to release his own tension, casually remarked, "I see you and the M.I.B. are finally getting along, heh heh.." He joked.

The femme just smiled and leaned into his side as she looped an arm through his. She really did not care who saw them this way anymore. Her Throttle was back home safe and sound, and that's all that really mattered in the end. Leaning her head atop his shoulder, smoothly commented. " Let's just say the misunderstanding had been cleared up.."

"Good to know," chuckling in his typical charming manner, the biker felt comfortable enough to ask, "Why are we going into the prisons?"

Carbine tensed at the question, but prompted casually, "It's a surprise. " she smile warmly, "I believe there's someone who'd been waiting to see you."

Sensing the tension that stung Carbine's last words, felt his heart race as a lump formed in his throat.

Throttle didn't understand why he felt so uneasy all of a sudden. The moment the femme mentioned someone wanted to see him, there was only one name that came to mind. His old friend and leader. Fellow Freedom Fighter Stoker.

Entering a rounded office quizzed, "Why all the secrecy babe?" He chuckled in an attempt to break the suffocating silence.

Carbine's mind seemed to have rendered her deaf to his words.

The man looked around feeling quite curious, and it was only when he spotted a hole on the large oval meeting table that he began to think. His feet brought him over to the standing object and allowed his fingers to retrace the hole on the edge. It was still hot. His shielded eyes darted to the femme who wore a worried look upon her face as she leaned up against the stone wall.

With a thoughtful soft gaze, he closed the distance and allowed his hands to gently rest on the sides of her waste.

"Babe.. " his words were smooth as silk.

His eyes traced the outline of Carbine's profile feeling his heart race once more. He could hardly believe it.
He was back on Mars reunited with the love of his life. What else could he ever ask for?

"Oh Throttle.." Carbine's words were just as sweet. "I've missed you so much." Looping her arms around his neck pulled him into a tender embrace.

"Me too.." Throttle held her close. A wondering hand slid up to her back as he leaned into the hug. "I can't believe I'm back.."

Carbine felt a lump form in her throat as she released all her fears and worries. "I thought I would never see you again.." She sniffled and cried into his shoulder.
