Jacob's pov

Flicking my eyes back and forth between my options, I grin wickedly. What to get, what to get. I can choose the mustang or the ferrari. Mustang or Ferrari. Hmm.

Shrugging, I break into the advanced Ferrari locks and hop into the car, pulling out the wires to start it up. Hitting the wires together, it sparks until the engine purrs out, making me nod along, happy as can be.

"Ah baby, it's been too long." I sigh, looking in the rear view window to see the car dealership owner running towards me.

"Alright, we gotta blast," Is the last that's said as I hastily speed away from the parking lot and onto the road.

I flip through tunes on the radio, landing on Metallica and turning it up. The music blares through the car, making the seats vibrate.

Chuckling, I can imagine my sister, Angelina, scolding me for having the music so loud, or playing alternative music for that matter. She isn't a fan, to say the least. She'd much rather listen to the 1975 or Halsey. But that's alright, we have our differences.

Pulling me out of my thoughts, I hear a loud siren and see the flashing red and blue lights in the rearview mirror. I groan, hitting my head back against the seat and pulling over.

This could've been a wild night...

Troye's pov

Doodling pretty stars onto the corners of my artwork, I lightly sing the lyrics to be the one by the magnificent dua lipa. It's a quiet night alone tonight, just drawing and singing to occupy my time until I fall asleep. Dad is still at work so I won't expect to see him home for a few hours. At least not until three, it's probably a busy evening for him.

He's probably not too busy for me though, he never is. A small smile finding its way to my lips, I drop my pencil and lift my phone from my desk and switch off my music. I launch my contacts and press on his starred contact. Well, he is my only number in my phone. The line rings for a few moments then he picks up, I hear shuffling in the background.

"Hey Daddio," I chuckle into the phone, lifting my pencil back up and continuing my portrait I have due for class next week.

"Hey kiddo, I have an angsty teen in my backseat right now, just full on warning you." He responds, making my smile grow wider.

Did I fail to mention my father is a police officer?

Yeah, my dad busts the bad guys, mostly just reckless kids though.

"Oooo, why did ya bust 'em?" I ask, shading over parts of my canvas. It just has to be perfect.

"Bix over here stole another car." He sighs.

"Is it a boy?" I question curiously.

"Yep."

I smirk, "Is he cute?"

I pause my moving hand and take my pencil off of the paper, pausing for this revelation.

Dad clears his throat.

"Jacob, my son wants to know if you're cute."

I hear the boy chuckle, making my cheeks flush a rosy colour. Thanks, Dad.

"I want to say yes, sir." The boy replies.

Dad scoffs, "Oh, now he's a gentleman. The kid was just caught stealing a car."

"Why did you steal a damn Ferrari out of everything though, son? You couldn't even try to be subtle?" Dad asks the boy incredulously, making me burst out giggling.

"Dad, you need to go before you say something to get yourself in trouble," I warn him,  shaking my head at his goofiness.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Alright, I'm gonna get him to the station now. I'll be home in a few hours." He informs, making me subconsciously nod my head okay.

"Love you, daddy." I remind him, taking the phone away from my ear and hovering my finger over the end call button.

"Love you, munchkin. See you when I get home."

And with that, I hang up and lock my screen, setting my phone down. I curl my legs up on my desk chair and cuddle them close to me, picking up my drawing and continuing my work. She's a piece of work, I wish the beauty I'm drawing could see this when it's done. Unfortunately, she'll be gone by then.

After half an hour and I've finished a good portion of her face, I find myself tired and set my portrait down. I stretch up and yawn, my body feeling like an old skeleton. Yeesh, only seventeen and I've got the body of a seventy year old's. Humming lightly to myself, I plug in my phone and cuddle myself under my warm covers. I clutch onto my stuffed animal and cradle it to my chest. Within no time, my body relaxes and I fall into a dreamy sleep.
