third pov just because

Silly kisses with silly boys. They like, no they love, to think they're the most innocent boys on earth when they're with each other, but when it comes down to it, they both want each other. Even if they don't exactly know it yet. They want just a little bit more than steamy kisses and 'accidental' rollings of the hips. They want desire. But every time they even consider taking a step forward, one wusses out. The other never minds, understanding the precious thing that is patience. And consent, of course. On one of the boys' long nights of rambling about politics and what absolutely ridiculous thing Trump has done now, they got deep into the discussion of consent. It's a very, very powerful and valuable aspect to any relationship. If there is no consent, there is no relationship. It would be forced. It would be wrong. Thankfully, Troye and Jacob are both very passionate about it and understand each other completely when they rant about it. Crazy, they are sometimes. Giggling minutes after nearly fucking each other over the silliest of things. They're insane. You're lucky you're not the one stuck with the lovesick boys, writing about their every moment. They are exhausting. They are crazy. They are perfect. The two together can go from sobbing blabbing messes to clingy horny teenagers in the matter of minutes.
Troye can go from sneakily drawing the boy naked when he thinks he isn't looking to shouting on the top of his lungs how much he hates the texture of mashed potatoes. Jumping on his bed, throwing a paddy for no reason while Jacob watches, obviously intrigued, to hiding under the covers because the thought of leaving this bed is too unbearable. He can go from painting to drawing, to knitting to crocheting, from cooking to crying, to singing and dancing to touching himself in the washroom. He's anywhere and everywhere to nowhere all at once.
Jacob can go from skipping class and smoking in the loo to acting like a grade a class student with Troye around. He can go from giggling to pouting when Troye makes him, he can be left guffawed for minutes and cry for hours. He can go from dragging Shaun home from a pub before Troye can notice he's missing to making him dinner when he gets home late and Troye is passed out in his bed.
It's also beautiful how easily and comfortable it is for Troye and Jacob to switch certain roles. They don't shy away and get awkward when the other has a bad day, they comfort one another and set aside their practically non-existent egos. As if they even really have egos. They've got too much of a heart and too less of a dick to be such clowns. They respect others around them, they've never caught another putting another down for their appearance or the way one acts, that would just be silly. They'd rather give strangers toothy grins and skip around town.
That's just how they are.
They may be mad, they may be odd and ridiculous at times, but they're mad, odd, and ridiculous at times for each other. That's what love is, isn't it?
