For some reason Cam didn’t know why, but she felt nervous. Her hands were playing together and she was chewing at her buttom lip as she waited for Nat to show up. Families and friends where around playing, but Cam wasn’t paying that much attention to them but the entrance of the park.
She took a sip of her soda and waited. Ten minutes later, he still wasn’t there. She sighed heavily and took her phone out, deciding to go on Facebook until he gets here. She knew if he wasn’t here in the next ten minutes, she’s leaving. She wont wait forever on him when he probably wont even come.
How could I ever be so stupid again, she thought.
A shadow appeared over her and she looked up to see Nat. He sat down across from her on the swing, “Sorry I’m late. I was kind of fighting with my dad.”,
“About?”, she asked, curious.
He sighed heavily and looked away for a second, “My life. He…he doesn’t want me to go back. He wants me to stay here to graduate in a regular high school and take a break from my career.”,
“Do you want that?”, she asked.
He shook his head, “I don’t have any other choice, I have to go back. I have responsibility back there already and if I do take a break, my career could be over and so will the guys. We’ll be sued.”,
“Can they do that?”, she asked.
“We have a five album record deal, if we don’t continued to make music, they’ll sue us for breaking the contract.”, he said.
“I’m sorry, Nat. That must suck.”, she said.
He shrugged, “I love it, I love music.”, he said. He looked away from a second to look around the park, "This place has not changed at all.”,
Cam nodded, “Yeah. Do you remember where we wrote our initials?”, she asked and he nodded. “I walked past the bench it was and it’s still there. Four years, you would think they’ll paint over it.”,
Nat chuckled and nodded, “Yeah, you would think. So, what do you want to do first?”,
Cam pursed her lips together, “Hmm, lets gets an chocolate ice cream first.”, she said, getting up and they walked over to the ice cream stand.
Two hours later….
Cam giggled and covered her face with her hands as Nat spun her around on the merry go round fast. She held onto the bars and held onto it when he went faster and she started to slip, having a hard time holding her body from falling off.
“Okay, stop me!”, she yelled and she heard his laughter. “Nat, I’m slipping, stop—epp!”, she squealed when she slid off, but luckily in was in front of Nat for him to break her fall and he stumbled backwards and fell back.
They both groaned, but even Cam knew he suffered more since her elbow kind of landed on his crotch, making her cheeks burn up. She leaned up and hovered over him, “I’m sorry, but I did tell you to stop me.”,
“I know.”, he said. He propped himself up on his elbows, “But wow, that burned.”.
“Sorry.”, she said, biting her lower lip. She looked at him and all she wanted to do was kiss him, but she held back the urge. “I having fun, thanks.”, she said.
