“Good luck.”, both Nat and Seth said toCam right when she turned to walk over to her group girl dressing room. Nat looked at Seth who looked back at him and Nat click his tongue before they looked back at Cam.
Nat grinned, “Break a leg.”, he said and she nodded, but just to play with her, he stopped her when she started to turn around and grabbed her upper arm, “Wait, that’s only a figure of speech.”,
She looked at him confused for a second, then smacked her teeth, “Shut up, Nat.”, she said, hitting his arm and grinned with him before turning around all the way this time and went into the girls dressing room.
Nat turned to Seth and glared at him before turning around to go to the auditorium. Seth walked next to him and both boys were given off tension. They hate each other anyways.
They went into the auditorium and Nat decided to keep his glasses and hat on until the lights goes down so no one would recognize him. They found a seat three rows away from the stage in the middle and both boys didn’t not make any attention to each other. Both continued to act as if they were strangers.
The auditorium continued to fill with more and more people quickly. Nat looked around to see if anyone was staring at him, trying to recognize who he was.
Nat planned after the competition and when Cam wins, to go back to her house so he could talk to her parents about letting her go to California with him. He believes it’ll be easy, but things are always easy said then done.
After about twenty minutes, it finally started when the lights dimmed down and the lights on the stage brighten, so Nat could finally take his hat and glasses off. The four judges were at the front row of the seats and most were in they’re early thirties.
After a ten minute long introduction and naming each of the seven groups that will be dancing, where they were from, and bunch of other crap, it started. First one was from New Jersey, break dancing.
It went on and went until four came along. It wasn’t Cam’s group, but he swears, one of the girls in the group looks familiar. He leaned up a little to look closer at the strawberry blonde hair girl.
“What was her name?”, he muttered to himself, snapping his fingers trying to think of her name. “Lilly, Lissa, Lena,” he muttered to himself. He then remember who she was. She was the girl he hook up with on the last night he was in Arizona. Eh, the night was not like how he planned. He had bad one night stand before, but…Layla, that was her name! But anyways, he guessing the girl was a little drunk cause before they could start, she ran back into the bathroom and threw up.
His face scrunched up, “Ehh,” he mumbled as he leaned back in his seat. He felt Seth’s confused stare on him, but he ignored it. He hates running into his old one night stands. She was probably the worst he had ever had—well, almost had. She passed out on the bathroom floor and he woke her up and got her a cab to go home.
They were doing some kind of Latin dancing and he’ll admit, they were pretty good. Out of ten, the judges gave them an nine. Damn, that’s high, Nat thought. He noticed how tight Layla’s red strapless long dress with a slit going down her right legs is on her. But the chick had no body for it.
On the sixth team came up, the announcer said it was Cam’s team and the lights dimmed a little. Her back was facing was the crowd and her side was facing the right, showing half of her face. The four other girls behind her facing the crowd. Two boy were right and left from them.
