“Thank you, Melissa, so much.”,Cam heard Nat say to her mom about him letting him stay over until he goes back from the dinning room.

“No problem, Nat, you’re a good boy.”, she said. “But are you sure you don’t want me to talk to your dad about this? You don’t want a something stupid as this make you two hate each other.”,

“I’m sure, but thank you. My dad just needs some time and space, I’ll give him that.”, he said and Cam can’t believe how well he’s persusing her mom.  Nat walked out and wiggled at eyebrows at Cam and she rolled her eyes.

Seth had to go home a few minutes ago and now she’s here with Nat who would be staying in the guest room—which is next to hers.

She hit his arm, but grinned, “Don’t think your all that just because you persused my mom. Wait till my daddy finds out.”,

Cam’s mom walked out and snorted, “Don’t worry about your dad, he’s mostly never home anyways.”,

Nat raised an eyebrow, “You and Ken are fighting?’,

            “Nat.”,Cam hissed at him.

“It’s alright, Cam,” her mom said. “We are, but we’re trying to deal.”, she said before walking upstairs.

Nat then looked Cam and awkward silence filled the air. Cam looked away and started picking at her nails. She never thought her mom would agree to letting him stay, so it was kind of awkward right now.

“Sooo,” he started and she saw him put his hands in his pockets. “You wanna go make me those double chocolate chip cookies you use to make while I go unpack.”, he said, grinning as he walked up stairs and her mouth drop. It wasn’t a question, more of an order.

            “But—”,

“Sorry, but I have suddenly gone deaf until you makes me those cookies.”, he said before going out of sight and she put her hand on her hip and scuffed. Decided that it’ll give her something to do, she went into the kitchen.

“I’m only doing it because I want to, not because I was ordered.”, she mumbled to herself as she got all the stuff out.

Ten minutes later, she was stirring the dough around in the bowl when Nat came back down in flannel pants and a beater.Cam couldn’t help but stop moving the mixer and stare at how big his arms got. Sure, she has seen him in short sleeves, but something in him being in a beater—a white one making his sun-kiss tan glow—made them more appealing.

Her tongue suddenly felt heavy and she was having a hard time speaking when she came to it, “Um, uh, I mean, do—I mean, do you want lots or little muscle—I mean chocolate chips.”, she said, then wanted to die in embarrassment.

She stared down at the bowl as she continued mixing it again as he walked over to the island. He grabbed the cookie sheet from the other side of the isle and sprayed some Pam on it. He walked over next to her and stuck his finger in the bowl, stealing some cookie dough and put it in his mouth.

She huffed and smacked his arm, “Hey! Don’t do that, I always hated it when you do that!”,

“And I always enjoyed your reactions.”, he said teasingly and took another finger full and dodge when she went to smack him on his arm. “To slow.”,
