Narrator's POV

The weeks had passed since the sad split of the Lucha Dragons. Both Sin Cara and Kalisto went their separate ways, vowing to each other that they would never speak again, and that their friendship would be over.

The first couple of months were easy, Sin Cara went on to have a fairly successful career as a cruiserweight before readapting to take on the big guys. Meanwhile in the opposite side of the country, Kalisto was wrestling as part of an epic three way rivalry with his newly formed best friend Apollo.

Neither thought about the other much, instead deciding to focus on their own individual careers, but that was until one night at Smackdown, a small segment played for the upcoming Raw pay per view, and Kalisto was watching. Sin Cara sat at home oblivious to what was happening at the show, but when Kalisto sat back and watched the tape play, he couldn't help but watch in awe as they showed one of Sin Cara's signature high flying moves. He felt an ache in his heart like nothing before, watching his best friend do what he loved the most. "Kalisto, you're up."

"Yeah." He was snapped out of his thoughts by Shane backstage, who hurried him over to the curtain, counting him down and then letting him out to the ring. The familiar theme of the Dragons played, as the crowd chanted along with his moves. He looked out to all the hand actions, copying them. He looked to his right to see an empty ring, picturing the motion of Sin Cara behind him.

As he went home that night he couldn't help but take a trip down memory lane, all the way back to NXT, the belts, the debuts, the title matches. It all meant so much to him, to the both of them, then they had ever let on before. Underneath his bed he kept his own little memory box, all the little things. Kalisto had the photos, the old gear, and their beloved masks. He picked up the green one, his championship winning one, holding it close towards his chest. "I miss you," he whispered to himself, smiling as he reflected upon all the memories had made.

The emotions had slightly overwhelmed Kalisto that evening, yet still Sin Cara had no idea what his former partner was feeling. The Raw brand were performing in Orlando tonight, and often thinking back to the good old times Kalisto couldn't stay away.

All the reminiscing allowed all the puzzle pieces to fall into place, he wasn't just his friend, he was the person he had fallen in love with.

He jumped in his car and drove to the arena, making sure his passes were in his bags to get in. Despite all his old friends trying to speak to him, there was only ever one man that Kalisto wanted to see.

On the other side of the arena Sin Cara was preparing for his match against Bo. He placed his mask on his head, tying the laces of his shoes up. He took a deep breath making his final preparations. Even now he still expected to see Kalisto stood by his side, the odd night he was missing him like crazy.

He checked the clock ready to go when the door barged open. Kalisto stumbled into his locker room, looking over at Sin Cara. He looked at Kalisto in confusion as he stood back up straightening himself up. "Hi," he whispered awkwardly.

"What do you want?" Sin Cara had to try so hard not to let the smile grow on his face, all the bitterness from the fallout still secretly playing on both of their minds.

"We need to talk." Kalisto grabbed two of the seats and pulled them next to each other. Sin Cara sighed taking a seat, knowing that whatever it was, he could always spare a couple of minutes when it came to his best friend. "I know everything that has happened over these past few months has been tough, but spending time apart from you has only made me realise one thing, I love you so much, and I miss having you by my side." Sin Cara slowly allowed his smile to grow as a hopeful Kalisto watched on. As much as he wanted to stay and talk, his match was only moments away, and Kalisto had no clue. He stood up from his seat and kissed Kalisto on the top of the head through the material of his mask, then went to walk out of the room. "Where are you going?" Kalisto asked worriedly. He stood up too waiting anxiously for Sin Cara's response.

"I have a match, don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." He smiled, even though Kalisto couldn't see it, heading down the corridor to the backstage room where Bo would be waiting. Kalisto watched him until he was no longer in view, heading back into the locker room. He sat back in his seat, sighing in relief, running his hands over the top of his head. He looked around at the mess his former partner had made, happy to be back in such familiar surroundings. He took it all in one last time, and then left to go and admire the skill and technique of his best friend, and his love, Sin Cara.
