He didn't think I saw, but I did. How could I not?

The way those eyes fell on me was simply magical, he made no secret of it, and I couldn't have loved it more.

Every so often I'd flash him a smile, hold my head high, and if I was feeling confident, my right eyelid would briefly fall shut.

Seth's POV

He did it again. I watched him close. He was giving her the eye, the eye only I gave to her.

"Oi!" I shouted watching the taller guy spun around to look at me. His smirk turned up into a nasty growl, brushing his damp hair out of his face.

"Can I help you?" He asked, extending his frame a little higher, looking down on me.

"I saw you looking at Kiera." However hard he tried his eyes couldn't help but light up, confirming everything I thought.

"What about it?" He tried to shrug it off, but I could see that it bothered him, he was into her.

"She's my girl." He raised his eyebrows in shock and uncertainty, looking around the room, most likely for her. "Back off from her, she doesn't want or need you."

"Aren't you the one who cheated on her?" My eyes widened in shock as the conversation took a turn for the worse.

"That's not the point." I looked down at the sharp movement of his fist clenching, stepping back ever so slightly, still attempting to stand my ground.

"Well it's my point." I nodded, what could I say to that? He wasn't wrong, I had nowhere to go from here."

"Look, all I'm saying is she deserves a lot better than you, stay away!" He rolled his eyes, taking in nothing of what I was saying, spinning on his heeled boots and walking away.

I straightened my top back down, taking a couple of deep breaths to compose myself.

I had to watch him, he was a dangerous guy, for Kiera and I.

I couldn't sit back and watch her be swept off her feet by someone like that, it wasn't happening.

Kiera's POV

I picked up my phone, slid my chair out, and headed back out into the corridor. It was full of transportation being set up for tonight's show.

It was hard work trying to weave in and out of the large cases, but I managed it, just.

Faces span around me in their mad dashes wherever I walked, each with their own individual quality that pieced together to make the company.

Some were nice, some weren't. Some were funny, some thought they were funny.

"Kiera." I felt the black haired guys presence beside me instantly, the cologne he insisted on wearing an ever present feature.

"What?" I spat. He smiled graciously, thankful to even have a second of my time.

"I wanted to talk." I brought my arms up, folding them across my head, leaning on my left leg to the side.

"Yeah." His eyes slowly wandered down, landing on my hips, looking left and right a little.

He slowly slipped into his own little bubble of what once was. I stayed still, not moving a muscle, pausing for just a couple of seconds, until I brought my knee up, tipping my balance to the other leg.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, looking back up, staring straight into my face. "For so many things."

"Seth, if this is going to be another attempt of you making me feel sorry for you." He shook his head, bringing his callous hands up over his face, rubbing lightly at his face.

"It's not, I promise." I stayed where I was, grabbing a tassel from my jacket, fiddling with it in between my fingers.

"Then what do you want?" He sighed, bringing his hands back down by his sides, his face etched with a pained expression.

"You." He coldly professed. My eyes hit the back of my head in despair, bored of the repetition and smell of desperation.

"Don't do this." I warned, the tone of my voice getting stronger.

"Hear me out," he began, quickly looking around the room, "it's Baron." Had he gone mad? Confused?

"I don't understand." He raised his hand to stop and silence me, a little cough escaping to clear his throat.

"He likes you Kiera, but so do I. You don't need anyone like him in your life, you need someone like me." I nodded, noticing his mouth still wide as if he were not finished. "I may or may not have spoken to him."

"What did you say?" I asked to be greeted by stunned silence. "What did you say?" I questioned, my voice a little louder.

"I just told him to stay clear of you." My head fell back with a little chuckle, not one of humour, but utter shock.

"Why did you do that?" He shrugged his shoulders, looking off down at the ground beside me. "What is wrong with you?"

"I'm sorry K, but I'm just trying to protect you." His arm reached forwards and tried to grab my shoulder, but I quickly pushed it off and walked past him.

"Where are you going?" He asked, spinning around to look at me.

"To sort out your mess." He didn't try and stop me, but just stood and watched the back of my head as I walked off down the corridor.

There was one of two places Baron would be, the gym or the canteen. It was just a matter of guessing.

The canteen was nearer, my first destination.

In my mind I couldn't help but worry, despite all the glances shared, the two of us were yet to engage in conversation.

If Seth ruined my chances of being with Baron, I'd never forgive him. Now was my chance to move on, I couldn't let him destroy my chance of happiness for a second time.

I walked through the door and spotted the inked up man in no time at all, his height a stand out feature amongst the smaller people.

I couldn't give it a second thought, not giving myself any chance to back out from it.

"Baron." I watched his head look up and watch me walk over. He stood up,  it surprised by my appearance.

"Hi," he whispered like he was about to break, walking to the exit door, signalling for me to follow. "I thought I might be seeing you."

"Yeah." He took me over to an empty space, peaceful, but not secluded. "Look, I cannot apologise enough for what Seth said to you."

"It's fine Kiera, honestly." He didn't seem to care, taking me by complete surprise. Seth made him out to be some ferocious monster, but now thinking about it I'd never heard anything so far fetched.

"I thought you'd be mad." He shook his head, resting his hand on top of mine. His skin was a bit rougher than Seth's, but his hands were a lot bigger too.

"Of course not, I just think it was a bit stupid of him to come at me, you know, all things considered." I couldn't have appreciated more how he didn't want to say what happened exactly as it were.

"It doesn't matter now, I actually think he's done me a favour." His eyes widened, a little hopeful.

"Really?" He almost sounded too eager to discover my reasoning.

"Well, I think I might have just fallen for you a little more." The corners of his mouth up stretched into a coy smile. "I know why he's done what he's done, he doesn't like the fact my eyes don't fall on him anymore."

"I'm glad to hear you say that," he whispered. The roles reversed as I looked at him with a puzzled glance. "Don't look so surprised, I know you've been seeing me give you the look for weeks."

"True." I felt a small blush grow on my cheeks, making my heart skip a little beat with excitement.

Neither of us knew what to say, our eyes just locked on each other like they always did.

I felt his cold hand brush my hair out of the way and cup my cheek, his strength moving me forwards so my lips fell on his, locking together, with nothing but love.
