When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade right?

The first thing I'd been told when I was carried out on a stretcher in the Alamodome on that fateful evening. When someone tells you everything might be over, you truly feel like you cannot go on.

I never thought I'd be in such a position again, I'd trekked down the lonely road, and only came out stronger. So many people had told me to expect the worst, but I stepped aside all the difficulties and hurdles and managed to fix my neck up and get back on the windy road of wrestling.

The night of my return was indescribable, the Smackdown before Wrestlemania, and a winning night for the number one contenders match. But none of that mattered to me, because I was back on the road with the most important person in my life.

As I got backstage I rushed around to find him, walking over and wrapping my arms around his waist. "Hey love," I whispered, cherishing the feeling of his body against mine, a feeling I had been missing for so long over the past few months.

"Hi," he bluntly replied, keeping one hand by his side and using the other one to hold his phone. I sighed, looking up at him, but he carried on scrolling through social media.

"Did you watch my match?" I asked, feeling a few beads of sweat run down my body.

"Oh no, I was busy." My stomach sunk knowing how little he cared about such an important moment in my career. "Sorry." He couldn't even say he was sorry, just sorry. I pulled away from him, looking up as he stared away from me.

"Why are you being like this?" I asked, desperate for some indication as to what I'd done wrong. Any normal boyfriend would be ecstatic to have their love back with them, travelling the world, but somehow Baron just couldn't seem to care less.

"I'm just used to not having you here, I guess it just takes time to adjust." How could you ever need time to adjust? I didn't know what else to do, or what else to say. I had to travel on the road for the next three days with him, and then go home with him, when he couldn't even bring himself to take a bit of notice to me.

"You know what, I'm gonna see if Nattie has any room in her car for the journey." Baron stood frozen still, not even acknowledging me as I left to go and find Nattie. We had talked about my return for so long I felt as if there was no point even being here anymore.

I'd gone to extra gym sessions, spent hours with the physiotherapist, and watched my diet closely, all for the chance to get on the road a few days earlier, but now, what was the point?

The two of us hardly spoke at all, Baron decided to move into the spare bedroom, and with the heavy metal music playing it was impossible to talk to him. He'd walk out of the room whenever I came close to him, and on the eve of Wrestlemania I simply gave up.

Outside in the garage was the old Rolls Royce, neither of us had drove it in years, but that was the only answer to not having to drive with Baron. I had given up trying to talk to him, we might as well have broken up for he cared, as I took the long road to Orlando all by myself.

The day of destiny came upon us all, as I walked out to nearly eight thousand people cheering me down the ramp and into the ring. The rest of the girls all stood in the ring, watching me slide in and the match began. Was Baron watching? Did he care? What was he doing?

I rolled Alexa over, covering her for the pin, one, two three. I jumped up as the referee walked over and handed me my sparkling new belt. The crowd erupted sending shivers down my spine, my heart was beating at a rate I had never felt before, as the spotlights fell on me, and the pyrotechnics lit up the outskirts of the arena.

I climbed up to the top rope as the other girls left the ring raising my belt high in the air, when my theme tune turned into a slow piece, slowly building up into a heavy drop. I looked down the long ramp and saw Baron walking out, applauding me. I jumped down from the top rope, seeing the first heartfelt smile on his face over the past week.

Eventually he managed to get to the ring, climbing over the top rope and walking into the ring. I stood still watching him walk over and place his hands on my hips. He looked down and planted a soft kiss to my forehead. "I'm so proud of you. I'm sorry for being so horrible and uninterested, you know I don't like to show my emotions but I'm so glad you're here." I smiled trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill as his hands laced with mine. I went to leave the ring, only to see his figure drop and his knee land on the mat of the ring.

"No way," I whispered, hearing the cheers of the crowd trap me like a bubble.

"DeAnna, I love you more than you'll ever know, I know I'm not the best boyfriend, especially over these last few days, but I want to prove to you how much I adore you, by asking you to marry me." Baron kept his glance at me the entire time, squeezing my hand tightly as the first tear rolled down my cheek. "Will you marry me?"

"A thousand times yes," I whispered watching him slide the beautiful silver diamond onto my finger. He slowly stood up, wrapping his arms around my waist, and twirling me around in the air. "I love you too," I whispered into his ear, pecking his cheek. He lowered me back down to the ground, grabbing my hand and raising it into the air, as I held my title in the other.

"Come on you," he said, guiding me out of the ring and up the ramp. I wrapped my arm around his lower back, cuddling him tightly, admiring the new glisten I had on my hand.
