I turned to my right looking at the suited figure by my side. Seth smiled down at me, giving my hand a quick squeeze.
"Now I believe the two of you have prepared some vows." We both nodded, looking back to our respective friends who handed us both bits of paper. "Seth, if you'd like to go first."
"Of course." He quickly smiled down at me, unravelling the folded piece of paper, clearing his throat with a quick cough.
"Alexa, there will never be enough words in the world to truly tell you how I feel, but I'll try my best right now."
I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he'd never looked so smart and handsome. His hair was slicked back to perfection, and his beard had been tidied so not a single hair was out of place.
"People always talk about their journeys, but I feel like the two of us have been on such a massive one. Looking back on where we were a few months ago, I can't express how proud I am of how far we've come."
My mind wandered back to the night I conducted my backstage interview, how distant he was? How our world tilted onto a different axis. How the two of us went from damaged goods to freshly in love.
"You truly are one of a kind, you're dedication, passion, selflessness and integrity are just some of the qualities that I adore about you. You're so beautiful, even first thing in the morning when your hair is all over your face."
The whole room chuckled, most likely imagining the image Seth was portraying for them.
"I'm so honoured to call myself your husband, to stand by your side in life, in work, and now in wrestling. I can't wait to continue our journey together and make even more memories."
All I wanted to do was kiss him, his words fixing everything that had ever been broken. There was something so special in that moment about hearing phrases he'd told me a thousand times before.
"Alexa, it's your turn." The priest looked down at me with a smile, bringing his arms behind his back.
"Seth, I feel like I've told you this so many times, but you really are such an incredible human being. You've stood by my side through some of the toughest times of my life over this past year, an absolute rock."
I quickly looked back at my two sisters who both smiled, offering me a quick thumbs up dressed in their light pink dresses.
"I feel like I'm just repeating you, but looking back to where we were last year, how stronger and closer together we've come, I can safely say I continue to love you more and more everyday. I'm so thankful to call myself yours, I love you."
Looking closely enough, I was pretty certain I saw a single tear roll down Seth's cheek.
The ceremony continued, but the two of us could barely take our eyes off each other to notice what was being said.
In those few minutes I'd never felt such a strong connection towards Seth, it truly felt was as if all of this was meant to be, even through the ups and downs.
Once we'd walked back out of the church I still had a few professional roles to fulfil. Having my sisters with me meant the wedding was going to be a prominent feature on Total Divas, so they wanted to find a good spot.
We were led down one of the garden paths towards a small pond, where the cameras were already set up.
They started rolling in no time at all, wanting to rush this and complete it without taking too large a portion of time away from my big day.
"Alexa, I know I've already told you so much today, but you truly do look stunning." Coming from Nikki I knew just what a big compliment that was.
"Even Seth scrubbed up well, the two of you just looked so perfect together stood at the alter."
The whole scenario just felt natural somehow, despite really being anything but. Having my sisters with me, by my side, felt so right, and everywhere was so majestic and beautiful.
"I couldn't believe he'd made such an effort, I mean I know it's our wedding, but he'd even managed to trim his beard all by himself." The two of them laughed, Brie understanding where I was coming from a little bit more than Nikki.
"He was right though, when he was talking about your journey, the two of you have honestly come so far." Nikki walked over and wrapped her arm around me.
"She's right, from the outside looking in, it's so remarkable to see where you are now, I'm so proud, of you both." I pulled the two of them into a quick hug, hearing a male voice shout "cut" in the background.
"Come on, you need to go and see that man of yours, you've got a reception to go to." I pulled away from them both, running back up the path the best I could in heels, noticing Seth stood with his mum.
"There you are," he whispered, his eyes falling on me, pulling me into his chest.
"I'm so sorry, duty called." He nodded, kissing the top of my head, squeezing my waist to bring me closer.
"It doesn't matter, you're here now." He pulled away, lacing his hand in my own, walking me over to the retro car that was at the end of the street. "Those vows by the way, beautiful," he whispered into my ear.
"Who knew you could be so soppy." He gasped, nudging my waist with the arm still wrapped around me.
"I do try from time to time," he joked, opening up the back door and helping me in, then transitioning to the other side of the car whilst all our guests watched on as we drove to the reception venue.
