"Good Morning beautiful." I woke up to see Jackson walking into the bedroom with a cup of coffee in his hands. After our first night together, things had been going great between Jackson and I. We both had things at both our places so that it would be easier to get ready in the mornings whenever one of us spent the night. We'd been doing our arrangement for a few weeks now and I enjoyed Jackson's company both inside and outside of the bedroom.
"Good morning, thank you." I said sitting up then taking the coffee cup he handed to me.
"You're welcome, how are you feeling this morning?"
"Better, thank you for taking care of me. I usually don't get sick."
"You did say you picked up more cases with the school board, so it might be from being around kids more often."
"Yeah, but none of the ones I visited were sick."
"It could've been a 24 hour bug. You're feeling better now and you look a lot better than you did when I came over yesterday."
"I do. I feel like a wasn't sick at all which is weird but I'll take it easy today in case I start to feel bad again."
"Alright, I have to get ready to go open the shop is there anything you needed me to do before I leave?" He asked me sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Not that I can think of no."
"Okay, I'll see you later. Call me if you need anything." He leaned over to give me a kiss which turned heated until he pulled away leaving us both breathless with our foreheads pressed together.
"As much as I would love to continue this you have to get to work and so do I." I said with a smile on my face getting out of bed.
"You're right, for someone who was sick yesterday you're in a great mood."
"I know it's weird, I'm still going to make an appointment with my doctor."
"Breakfast is on the bar, I made your favorite veggie omelette. Have a good day beautiful. I'll see you later." He gave me one last kiss before leaving.
"I will, bye Jackson." After a few more minutes I got out of bed and started my morning routine to get ready for work. As I got ready I called my doctors office but was only able to get an appointment for the following week. When I finished getting dressed and eating breakfast, I headed to the office.
I recently got promoted and started taking on cases of students within the school system which added on to my already full case load. I was happy about my promotion and the kids I had taken on were amazing. And made going to work worth it everyday. I was not happy about my sisters upcoming engagement party tonight.
I was not ready to deal with family members and friends asking about when I was going to be next to get married. Or asking if I knew that Bryan had gotten engaged and if I'd met the woman yet, or asking about why Bryan and I broke up.
I could care less and only going because it was apart of my duties as maid of honor but to also support my sister. I was glad that Jackson was my date tonight so the night would not be a complete bust and I wouldn't get bored talking to my cousins. When I got off of work I went to the salon to get my hair done as well as managed to also fit in a manicure and pedicure with enough time left to get dressed and arrive at the venue on time.
Jackson agreed to met me at the venue since he wasn't sure when his last appointment would end. I had only been at the engagement party for a good thirty minutes before I was in search of alcohol to calm my nerves. As I began my search I ran into my darling mother.
