Savannah
"A distraction?" After finally pulling away from one of the best kisses I'd had in my life Jackson invited me in and we sat on his couch to talk about my late night confession.
"Yes, all this wedding bullshit is going to get on my nerves and I can't drink my sorrows away at every event without looking like the alcoholic sister that can't keep a man. So I thought instead I'd ask you to be my date and we could have unattached sex afterwards. It's a win win for both of us."
"Have you been drinking?"
"Two glasses of wine but that's beside the point."
"Savannah you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes, what you don't think I'm attractive? I knew it, you were just messing with me earlier to make me feel better. Forget everything I said, I'm going back home."I got up from the couch to leave embarrassed that I threw myself at him when he didn't even find me attractive.
"Savannah wait."
"No, Jackson it's fine. I get it." I turned to walk away but was stopped by Jackson grabbing my hand and gently pulling me so that I turned me around.
"You didn't let me finish, I really like you and I don't want you to feel like you have to do this to get over Bryan. I think you are a very attractive woman and would love to help you forget Bryan in more ways than one but I can't because I respect you to much for our relationship to be solely sexual."
"So that's a no."
"Still not done, I will do it because I don't want you to find some random guy that'll take advantage of you but I want you to know that I have my own rules."
"Okay that's fine."
"You can sound more enthusiastic love. You have to go out on actual dates with me before and after we start, we both can't see other people and if we do the agreement ends."
"I can live with that."
"Good, I'm taking you out tonight so go home and get some sleep."
"Alright, see you later." He opened the door for me and watched as I walked into my apartment. I waved before closing the door, I was about to go to bed when there was a knock. I looked in the peep hole to see that it was Jackson.
"What's-" I wasn't able to finish my sentence because he kissed me. He pulled away smiling at my flustered face.
"Just wanted to give you something to think about, good night Savannah."
"Night." I closed the door and went to bed thinking about that mind blowing kiss.

"What's got you so happy?" my best friend and business partner Andrew asked walking into my office.
"Got a hot date tonight."
"Really, whose the lucky lady?"
"Remember my neighbor from across the hall?"
"The thick one with the punk ass boyfriend?"
"Yep, except Mr. Agent is out of the picture." I said smiling at the fact that I actually have a chance with Savannah now.
"You know you have to take her to one of those fancy ass restaurants right."
"I don't think she likes those."
"Really, I bet that's all Mr. Agent took her to. If you want her to take you serious you have to." I thought about what Andrew said and he was right. Although I owned my own tattoo shops and was well off but I wasn't as rich as her ex.
