Chapter 12

Savannah

"Are you excited about today?" I asked my sister as we sat in the waiting room of my doctor's office.

"Yes, I get to see my niece in person."

"It's a boy but thank you for coming with me."

"I wouldn't miss this for the world sis. I'm so glad you asked me to come." she said as the nurse called my name for me to head back, we went through the usual appointment questions. Then got ready for the ultrasound.

"Well everything is looking great for both you and baby. Did you want to find out the sex?"

"You can tell now?"

"Yes, it all depends on if the little one gets in a position to flash us."

"Okay."

"Alright, give me a few seconds and we'll know if you're having a boy of girl." My doctor moved the wand around my stomach a few times before the baby was in the perfect position to see the sex.

"Oh my god!"

"Jackson's going to be so excited when you tell him."

"I know."

"I'll print out two pictures so that you can give one to him."

"Thank you so much."

"No problem, keep doing what you are doing and I'll see you for your next appointment. We're almost to the end so now we're avoiding and watching out for anything that may cause you to go into labor early."

"Yes ma'am." After getting the ultrasound photos and setting up my next appointment, Sariah and I went out to lunch then went our separate ways. I took the day off for my appointment so I decided to take lunch to Jackson since he had a packed schedule today.

We tried to schedule my appointments so that he could attend them all but one of his celebrity clients called in last minute and wanted to get started on a huge tattoo. Then another came in late throwing off his schedule for the day. I could tell he was upset that he couldn't come when he called me earlier so I decided to make him feel better by taking him my sonogram picture. When I walked in I was greeted by his receptionist Ice. Despite her name she burned anyone that tried to mess with her and kept all the customers and artist in line at Jackson's main shop. She also did some work herself whenever the shop was short an artist.

"Yo Jack your lady is here. How you doin' Miss. Savannah?"

"I'm doing great Ice, how are you?"

"Trying to keep these knuckleheads on schedule, whenever he fucks up let me know because I can definitely treat you better." She also loved flirting with me to get on Jackson's nerves.

"I'll keep that in mind." I smiled at her and felt Jackson wrap his arms around my waist, I turned around to give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Stop hitting on my girlfriend, she's pregnant with my baby which means you have no chance with her."

"I guess, but remember the rule no sexual intercourse in the shop during business hours." she said with humor in her eyes looking at the both of us like a scolding parent.

"I made the rule so I can break it." I hit him in his shoulder. "But I'm kidding, I'll be in my office for a few minutes. Let me know when my three o'clock appointment is here."

"You got it boss." I followed him to his office where he let me sit in his chair while he sat on the desk in front of me.

"How are you doing beautiful?" he asked before giving me a kiss and taking the take out bag from his favorite restaurant from me.
