Savannah
Two Months Later...
"That is the dress Savannah." my mother said smiling at my sister in awe of the dress she had on. I rolled my eyes knowing damn well the dress Sariah had on was ugly and that she hated it because of how puffy it was. If there was one thing my mother was definitely doing, it was making sure that my sister picked a dress similar to the one she married our father in which was the exact opposite of the kind of dress Sariah wanted to wear for her wedding.
"Mom I look like a giant marshmallow. How am I supposed to be comfortable in this? I can barely walk without having to lift the thing up." Sariah said looking at herself in the mirror glaring at the dress.
"I think you look like a princess and should get the dress."
"Just because you offered to pay for it doesn't mean I am going to pick the dress you like mom."
"I know sweetheart but I really think that this is the dress you should get, it's almost like the one I wore when I married your father."
"Mom, it's her wedding. If she doesn't like the dress she doesn't like it."
"I think she looks beautiful in it, don't try to get your sister to get a dress that you would want Savannah."
"Are you trying to say I don't know how to dress?"
"Not at all sweetie, just that some of your clothing could fit you a little better if you lost some weight." The woman even had the nerve to pat my stomach as if it made anything she said better.
"Mom I'm pregnant, I have to gain weight to have a healthy baby not lose it."
"Oh I know sweetheart, but I'm saying being pregnant doesn't give you an excuse to let yourself go further than you already have."
"That's a new low for you mom."
"What I'm just being honest with you, it's no wonder Bryan didn't want you anymore. But don't you worry he will be back in the wedding after I have a talk with Trevor and then you two can get back together."
"Mom, Bryan will not be in my wedding. Trevor and I think it's best that Bryan not be involved in anything which is why he's no longer invited to the wedding."
"Then who will be the best man?"
"Trevor asked Jackson last weekend when we went to look at venues."
"That tattooed freak your sister brought to the engagement party?"
"Yes mom, that tattooed freak is the father of my child and my boyfriend who I am happy and very much in love with."
"You're in love with him? You know Savannah I wish you would get your head out of your ass remember what happened with the last man that looked like him, I love you but you can not be stupid enough to make the same mistake twice."
"I am not stupid, Jackson is nothing like Travis and yes mom I am in love with him. I'm sorry if you can't be happy about that but he's going to be in my life and you're going to have to deal with it."
"I will not have him ruin my daughters day or have you in the hospital because he couldn't control his anger. I have spent a lot of time and effort in making sure you two meet and marry respectable men and you will not ruin my hard work. Get over whatever infatuation you have with that man and make things right with Bryan before I do."
"You know what mom I'm sick of your attitude, if you can't be happy with Jackson being in my wedding then don't come. Matter of fact leave, you are bringing nothing but negative energy and stress that I do not need right now. I love you but you need to get your head out of your own ass and see how happy your daughters are." Sariah said fed up with our mothers attitude.
