Savannah Patterson thought that she'd get married and have a family before her little sister did. Even after breaking up with her almost fiancé after he cheated on her. She thought she still had time to find a new man and start a future with him. Th...
"When do you go to court?" Sariah asked while I called her on my way to meet Jackson for lunch. I had just gotten off the phone with my lawyer to ask him the details of Travis's hearing but he told me it had already past. But he was working on having a restraining order put in place as double security even though the conditions of his parole were to never be within 500 feet of me.
"My lawyer thought our mother told me that the time and date changed to the Thursday before your wedding. His lawyer assumed that because I didn't show up I didn't feel like he was threat to me anymore."
"What!"
"He said he called mom to rely the message because he's technically her lawyer and she asked that he only keep in contact with her. When we first pressed charges mom took care of everything for me while I was recovering. Probably the only time she acted like a true mother to me. So all the information went through her first then got back to me. The fact that she's okay with my abusive ex roaming free shows how much of a bad mother she really is and how much she doesn't care about my well being."
"Can you get a restraining order or something to keep him away from you?"
"We're working on it but he is on probation so even if he did try something he would automatically go back to jail and I doubt he's that stupid."
"Do you know where he is?"
"No, and he hasn't tried to contact me either so I don't feel as on edge. I'm more pissed off at mom for starting this mess. Karma is going to bite her hard in the ass one day."
"It is, I'll call you when Trevor and I get back but I love you sis."
"I love you to, bye." After I hung up from my sister I finished the paperwork that was on my desk before leaving for my lunch break. Jackson had an appointment that ran a little over his lunch break and he couldn't go out to get lunch so I got some food and brought it over to the shop for him. When I got there I was not expecting to see the one person I'd been trying to avoid and was the cause of most of the stress in my life at the moment, Travis Long.
When I first met Travis I was automatically attracted to his bad boy demeanor, he was everything my mother didn't like and brought a sense of excitement into my life. I thought what we had together was special and that he was somewhat changing his rough ways for the better of our relationship. I learned quickly that it was a lie but it was to late when I finally saw who he really was.

"There she is now, babe this is my boy Trav. Trav this is my girlfriend Savannah."
"It's nice to meet you." I tried to play along with his game but my anxiety had started to take over.
"Travis has been away for a few years but now he's back and going to help me around the shop. Are you okay babe?"
