Savannah
What I was not expecting was for Bryan to take a swing and at Jackson and for all hell to break loose. At first Jackson stumbled in shock when Bryan sucker punched him. But ducked when Bryan tried to hit him again. Instead of allowing him to land a punch Jackson punched Bryan square in the jaw. It took me a minute to get over the shock of my ex and current fling fighting to try and get them to stop. It wasn't long before Trevor and my dad were able to pull them apart.
"Savannah this is the man you've been dating, such a barbarian." my mother said pulling me away from seeing if Jackson was okay.
"Mom Bryan swung at Jackson first." Sariah said standing next to me.
"He wouldn't have needed to if that idiot didn't provoke him. And what kind of man talks like that?"
"He was only speaking the truth ma. How can you be okay with what Bryan said about Savannah, it was tout of line." Sariah said giving my mother a challenging look.
"I don't care if he was, he was inappropriate and I hope you end whatever you have going on with him because he is not welcome."
"Mom Jackson had every right to say what he said to Bryan. Bryan was out of line for saying the things he said about my relationship with Jackson. Bryan also suckered punched Jackson because he didn't respond how he wanted him to. I'm glad Jack beat his ass because he was acting like one." My head started to hurt from talking to my mother. Because she always wanted to make a Bryan look the victim when he was actually the villain in a situation.
"Savannah are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
Everything after that was a blur. I could hear my mother ranting about how Jackson lacked manners and shouldn't have provoked Bryan. Then my sister kept laughing about how Bryan had his ass handed to him. My head was starting to hurt and I felt dizzy so I went to find some place to sit down before everything went black hearing multiple people calling my name.
When I woke up I was in a hospital bed. I looked around the room to see Jackson sitting next to me in a chair with his head on my lap sleeping. He had a worried look on his face and I couldn't help but run my fingers through his hair. As I did that his facial expression softened and he soon woke up with a small smile.
"Hi."
"Hey, how are you feeling?"
"Fine, how long have I been here?"
"A few hours. The doctor hasn't come back with your test results yet. Your parents and sister stayed behind to handle the party and change. I told them I was your fiancé so that I could stay with you past visiting hours. Did you eat the breakfast I cooked you this morning?"
"I ate a little bit of it. Around lunch I started feeling sick again but it wasn't as bad as I felt yesterday. But it was bad enough that I didn't want to eat anything for lunch. I haven't eaten much of anything today because I was so busy and not in the mood to eat anything. Where's everyone else? How's the face?"
"Your sister and parents are in the waiting room, I'll let them know you're up. It's nothing an ice pack can't handle, for such a big talker Bryan doesn't hit that hard. Your mom kept saying I deserve more for what I said. But I told her giving Bryan black eye for the shit he said was worth it."
"Jackson."
"What he swung first and I was only defending myself and my girl."
"When did I become your girl?"
"The moment you knocked on my apartment door at 2AM asking for a favor. He shouldn't have said that shit, it was out of line and unnecessary. He's engaged to another woman, he shouldn't be worrying about you or your new relationship. If he can't I am more than willing to let him know that you are my priority now. But for now I am going to get your family, they've been worrying about you since they got here earlier."
