Harry's P.O.V
Draco Potter. I like the sound of that. I understand why he doesn't want to keep his name. His family is a long line of death eaters and dark wizards.
"Harry? Are you okay?" Draco asked, looking over at me. We were walking back to the castle to tell everyone the news.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit nervous as to what people are going to say is all." I replied.
"Well, like you told me, I don't care what anyone thinks about you or us." Draco said softly, squeezing my hand. I nodded. We had decided to get married after the war. We knew it was coming. I just wish that we had enough time to get married before. That way, when I kill Voldemort and die with him I can die the husband of Draco Potter.
We reached the castle and headed to the Gryffindor common rooms to tell Ron and Hermione. We decided to only tell our closest friends. Draco was only going to tell Blaise and Pansy. I looked down at my hand and gazed at my ring. It was silver with a blue dragon made of crystal and a white dragon of crystal intertwined. I loved it.
"Harry? How was your anniversary date?" Hermione asked as we entered the common room. Draco looked over at me and I nodded. Ron shot us a weird look. I looked back at them and held up my hand. "Me and Draco are engaged!" Their eyes widened and Hermione squealed. "Oh my goodness! Congrats!" She ran over and gave us both a hug in turn. Ron looked shocked and slowly walked over to us, giving me a hug and a slap on the back and Draco a handshake. "Congrats guys, and Draco, now more than ever, if you hurt Harry now it will be the last thing you do."
He raised an eyebrow sarcastically and grinned. Draco gave a nervous laugh and forced a smile. I laughed and nudged him with my hip.
"Loosen up Dragon, he's only joking." He sighed. God, I love him so much.
"Can I see your ring Harry?" Hermione asked and I held out my hand for her to see. She raised it to her face and gasped. "It's beautiful Harry! Draco you really went all out on this. I mean the dragons, even the colours are perfect." Draco blushed and I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"It really is." I said happily.
"Alright, we better go tell Blaise and Pansy." Draco said and I nodded my agreement, waving to Ron and Hermione as we left the common room.
"It really is perfect Dragon. I love it almost as much as I love you." I whispered, giving him a peck on the lips. He smiled and brushed the hair off my face.
"I love you too." He whispered, pushing open the portrait hole. "Hey Pansy, Blaise." I said kindly. "Hey Potter, Draco. What's up? Draco told us before he left that he was going to need to talk to us when he got back." Blaise asked. I gave Draco a teasing look and he blushed a bit. "Well, um- you see... we're engaged." He spluttered. Pansy jumped up and wrapped Draco in a tight hug as he awkwardly patted her back. "Oh I'm so proud of you Draco! That takes a lot of courage. But of course he said yes." She said, her face flushed with excitement. "Hey, uh Blaise? Would you be my best man?" Draco asked nervously.
"Duh! Of course Draco!" He responded excitedly. He walked up and shook my hand before clapping Draco on the back.
"Well done mate. Now how did the ring turn out?" I showed him and he nodded in appreciation. "That's one hell of a ring." Blaise mused. I laughed. "It sure is, but I've got one hell of a fiancé." Draco nudged me and turned red. Pansy giggled. "You guys are too cute." I smirked and Draco rolled his eyes.
"C'mon Draco, let's go talk wedding stuff." I said, pulling him towards the door.
Draco's P.O.V
"So I was thinking that maybe our wedding could be small. Just, you know, close friends and family. At dusk when the stars come out and there can be lanterns, by a lake. With flowers and the colours blue and white with some gold. And, and-" Harry shut me up with a kiss. We were sitting in our room, looking at pictures of venues for the wedding. "That sounds perfect Dragon. How about we invite the Weasleys, Blaise, Pansy and Hermione and your mother." He said. "Of course. But not my father. I don't want to see him." I replied softly. To which he nodded and squeezed my hand.
"Draco?"
"Yes Raven?"
"Have you- have you ever thought about a baby?"
"A baby?"
"A baby."
"Yeah, actually I have. Would you- want one? A baby?"
"I think I do. If it was with you. But after the war. In case... we don't make it." Harry's voice broke at the end and I wiped away a tear that had escaped his eye.
"What if one of us doesn't make it? What will the other person do?" He sobbed. "I don't think it's possible for only one of us to die Harry. Hermione and I did some research and found out that two bonded dragons have to be killed at the same time in order to die. This also means that we will die of old age at the exact same time so that neither of us has to live without the other." I explained and he looked up at me, his emerald green eyes glistening with tears.
"T-that means t-that if y-you m-make sure t-that you d-don't die a-at exactly the same time as I do then even if I'm killed I'll come back?" I nodded.
"Merlin's beard."
"We can't tell anyone. Only Hermione knows and she can't tell anyone either. If someone were to let slip this information then the death eaters could find out and use it against us." I said seriously and Harry nodded.
"Get some sleep Raven, I love you." I said, slipping under the covers as he joined me. "I love you too."
Yay! They are engaged and talking about starting a family! Of course they'll get married first before looking into it but Draco's almost of age ish.
